I had introduced myself last month when we brought home our first Beardie(my daughters BD present) Rex. Rex is a great little guy anddoing great. Still working on taming him, but he seems to be coming along.
WE went to the reptile expo yesterday and came home with another little baby for my son. He named his little guy, Stewart! He is also very cute and a lot more mellower than Rex. Stewart ate about 3 crickets yesterday and some kale. He seems very alert, has went poop but not so interested in eating today. I guess it is from relocation stress. Boy, what 2 different personalities...what fun! Rex is a mover and an eater since day one...but he was a little older than Stewart. Stewart seems to like being held...should we not do this for a little while? He is so irresistible and does not seem to mind.
Question, how would one suggest mounting the probe of the digital thermostat to the basking area?
Okay here adorable is Stewart
And here is a couple of Rex...such a handsome dude!
Another question. Baby Stewart has not eaten but a bite of Kale today. I did give him a bath and he drank the water. When should I get concerned about his eating? He does seem a bit thin, but he is alert. He did eat about 3 crickets yesterday and some Kale.
It's normal that he hasn't eaten. He probably stressed due to relocation stress. The fact he's eaten some is good c: Give him about a week, and if he still hasn't eaten much, try giving him some baby food with an eye dropper. Squash is one they usually like.
Thank you. I did buy some squash baby food today. He licked a little off my finger. I just feel so horrible that he is not eating and just wanted some reassuance on the relocation stress.
