Angie, Loki, Laura & Dozer (new pics 03/29/15)

I wanted to introduce everyone to our new girl. She is on her way now from Denver, CO. I will post some new pictures tomorrow but these are the ones we have so far. She is part leatherback.

She is doing very well. Today she ate 3 small supers, the 1st worm I've seen her eat since she's been here.

She has figured out that soft & cushy is a good thing. She's quite the character. I gave her a bath in the long transparent bin inside of the bathtub again today while listening to H.P. and her swimming reminded me of a motor boat lol. She swims in very fast short bursts.

We got our Russian testudo tortoise today and we had no idea he would be 1/2 price since it's Black Friday so we made out well. He walked around & investigated his new and much larger area. Now he's burrowed down in the bedding sound asleep. Will try to get some pics of him tomorrow.

I'm so happy to know that Laura loves stuffies. Every beardie should have a soft best friend to snuggle up to.

Congrats on the Russian tortoise! What will his/her name be? Do you know the sex of the tortoise?

She is snuggled up to her fawn right now, sound asleep. Angie & Laura both wanted to go to bed at about 5:15, are all the beardies wanting to go to bed earlier now?

Thanks Gina. We didn't name it yet. Not sure if it's a male or female, do you know how to tell? It's not very big, the shell is about the size of a large grapefruit. They said he/she is about 5 yrs old.

Congratulations on your new tortoise! Another lucky pet gets to live with you! The girls snoozing early is not uncommon. Mine are sleeping early, too; those that are still not brumating.

I haven't seen MoMo since yesterday morning. She'd been hiding deep inside Digi's cave, half covered by the face towel that lines the bottom.

Do you remember when I found out that Buddy was a boy? He was still an itty bitty baby then.

Guess MoMo is really out. At least she's not laying more eggs. That's funny that she likes the towel half covering her.

Fred and Maisy are down for the count. Everyone was up on Wednesday, though, for a drink/bath. Since then, Buster has been up and down. Baby Angus is too little to brumate. And who would eat all the roaches? Cissy has been taking lots of naps under her lights. We are trying the colloidal silver treatments for their (Cis and Angus) ADV. It's good to be able to contribute to Tracie's research, and if it works like we hope it will, it will be a miracle!
