- Beardie name(s)
- Savanna
Is my set up ok?
The enclosure is 4x2x4
Yes, Savanna can climb the ramps, but for easier access I plan to attach small rocks and sticks to increase grip.
Inside cage UVB - 24” Wacool hood, with a T5 HO 24w Reptisun bulb from zoo med replaced 1/26/26
Also have a 24” EcoSub hood, (not in use) with T5 HO 24w reptisun zoo med 11/26/24
Outside cage Heat bulb- 100 w Zoo med
Distant to basking spot- 8inchs
4, T5 Grow Light Strip to brighten cage, bottom part was too dark without them. I can turn them on and off individually if there needs a darker spot in cage.
Entire cage sealed with mini wax polycrylic
Australia Desert Dragon Habitat for substrate
Fresh salad daily, crickets once a month(small)
Bioactive tank with mealworms(Beatles), aloe, wheat grass, elephant bush, will be getting spring tails, dwarf whites, and giant canyons on Tuesday.
Had 10 dubian roaches, but they weren’t good at hiding and she ate most of them. Over the course of a week. Wont be replacing them, cause they also can’t getting out of cage. So thats a no for me, might get some once in a while to mix up crickets.
My dragon is also currently shedding, if that changes anything.
What are some good high quality temp and humidity checks that I can put in enclosure? And a temp gun to check basking platform, in case I need to turn heat lamp higher or lower.
Other options to heat enclosure if needed beside heat lamp?
Currently have no way to measure temp.
