So I go to my local petstore to buy mealworms and superworms (mainly because I wanted to breed them for their beetles) and I heard that they only pupate in small areas alone, and from a couple days of having the superworms I bought from the petstore I have 3 pupae and I've just kept them in their container. I haven;t found anything on them only being able to pupate in secluded area.
I've read that too but I've seen mine change into beetles just living in their bin with dry substrate after a while. Isolating them may change the speed of the process but I don't think it's necessary for it to occur based on what I've seen with my supers.
