I've had my beardie, Squirt, for 7 months now, so i'm assuming he's around 8 months old. Lately he's been super aggressive and won't let me pick him up without lots of resistance (running away, hissing, etc.), so I've started to just let him do his thing. His skin is also a lot less colorful than usual, but that might just be him changing color as he get's older. Is there anything I can do to tame Squirt?
If he's a male like you say, then it's likely hormones. A lot of adolescent males go through this stage for a couple weeks. He'll likely calm down after a while. Does he open his mouth at you when you approach him? If he does that, stuff veggies into his mouth every time he does. He'll learn quickly that being cranky will get him nowhere.
