For the most part she is pretty good with me. She is focused and alert but sometimes she can be really aggressive and so I pick her up and I wrap her in her blanket and then she calms down. she refuses to eat for my hand which is fine I guess for now but she does eat really well. I have only had her for approximately two weeks and she sleeps in my hand but I am gone for the day for about 7 hours but when I come home she is the first thing I see and I hold her. Sometimes she just has these bouts of anger. And hisses until I hold her then she's fine as long as she is wrapped in her blanket . is that normal?
Sounds like she feels threatened by you. You might want to step things down a notch so she can get used to you. One of my favorite methods is sticking my hand in the enclosure near the reptile in question and just leaving it there for a few minutes so they can get used to my presence.
I'd have a few tasty wrigglely wormy (healthy type) bribes on hand, and give these to her when pick her up , this way she will soon associate interactions with you as being nice and positive experience , at the moment she's reacting out of fear of you.
Also if she wants space , give it to her , don't be in too much of a rush , she's got her own agenda and you need to fit in .
