yoshi is in a 4ft viv with a 60w basking bulb and a repitsun uv 10.0 uvb tube and we cant get the temperatures right....the basking area is 103 ( he is a baby) and we cant get the cool side and the hot side to weigh up..he never goes to the cool side he goes under his log and is approx 91.
anyway it was recommended that we get a dimmer and set it to 85 on the cool side which we have but it means the hot side is getting hot enough....does anyone have any suggestions please. he is eating well now this is the 3rd week we have had him and his is going to the toilet so this is the last piece of the puzzle we need to crack
Umm, would moving it be a pain? I have both of mine right up next to the wall, about 2-3" over. Another thing would put something in where he can climb closer to the bulb. Then you could drop his wattage and that would allow the cool side floor to be cooler.
yeah thats what i thought gonna do it tommorow.... we have the uvb tube 6-8 inches to him we had a repti glo now got the repti sun which ive heard is better so would it be advisable to move that up tooo
