HE is so cute! I love Fiz to lol!

He's actually sleeping in my sweatshirt pocket at the moment as I type. He's such a cute little bugger. It's two hours before lights out, I guess he didn't get enough good sleep last night! I knew he was tired because he was in my hand and I cupped my other hand over him and he started trying to squeeze his nose into the crannies of my hands, and then he realized he wasn't going to be able to snuggle in so he crawled into my sweatshirt (not the pocket, the inside) and realized he couldn't get much traction in there and crawled out. I introduced him to my sweatshirt pocket where he found his personal bed and snuggled in, satisfied. I've had him for less than a month and we've established more than just "cuddle" time:) <3 He's such a cutie!

I can get partial cuddle time with Fiz. He's still a baby and ALL he wants to do is just crawl up my chair, jump onto my bed, and try to explore in my blankets. I don't let him, since that's where I sleep LOL so I let him crawl on the floor and onto my stuffed animals:)

I hope the Diarrhea goes away soon. It's possible they could have coccidia. I didnt know you had two dragons, whats is the other ones name?

I hope he doesn't have any parasites. It's driving me crazy just thinking my baby is sick :cry:

Oh, well the second Beardie isn't really mine. It's my brothers, but I basically think of him as my own, since I always feed them and play with them. His name is KD. I'm guessing he's related to Fiz because we got them from the same pet store on the same day and they're about the same size & are growing at the same rate.

Yes, to make this straight:

Fiz = My Beardie
KD = My Brother's Beardie.

If you're wondering why his name is KD, yes it is short for something. It was some wierd name that he came up with that was really long so now we just call him KD.

I'm uploading pics later! Fiz just had his bath time!

Just keep an eye on the diarrhea, it may be related to something else. You have had him a month which if he had coccidia before you got him, that gives enough time for it to rise to significant amounts due to the relocation stress. There are many that never really bother getting a fecal done but I think its wise a to get one a couple weeks after getting a new dragon after they settle in a bit, and then yearly after that. Are both dragons a month old or is that how long you have had them? Are you guys going to separate them?

Actually, they pooped, and it wasn't diarrhea. It actually was normal poop, but with a few pieces of undigested squash in there. I'm guessing that he must've either a) ate too much squash b) He's completely unable to digest it. (The one with the undigested squash was KD). Fiz, on the other hand, was being handled when he decided to "unload" right on my hand! Before I squealed and ran to the bathroom, It was pretty much normal. It had the log shape, urates were soft, a little water (he gets contant baths), although there weren't any pieces of undigested squash, unlike his tank mate.
Oh and trust me, they WILL get a fecal. In about a month, I should have enough funds to take them both to get a fecal done. I will also have them examined by a herp specialist when I go, and have bloodwork done. I can afford everything with my Beardies, and technically I CAN afford to go to the vet right now, but I don't want to make myself broke and not be able to care for them if I end up spelling a million dollars at the vet. I'm just saving up so I have the funds backed up.
Also, they really weren't stressed out from being relocated. You know how most Beardies won't eat for a few days after being relocated? Well, they ate 5 minutes after being taken out of their cardboard carrier. And not just a bite or two, they really stuffed themselves. They never were shy or anything. They bounded right up to your hand if you placed it in the tank. I think it's because they were pretty well kept at the pet store I got them from. Temperatures were the same, the exact same type of reptile carpet, and of course, they had each other and their other siblings there which may have made them feel a tiny bit better. So If they had coccidia, I'm hoping they would've already shown the signs. (Well, I don't know the signs actually). So for now, The diarrhea has stopped.
I've had them for a month, but they were only a week or two old when I got them. Fiz's body didn't even go all the way across my hand, that's how small he was. Now he's around 7 inches, a little longer, actually. KD is about 8 and a quarter inches. And of course I'm seperating them. KD is getting his new/seperate tank on Christmas actually. That's only a month away, and they'll only be a little over two months at that point. They're very good together, it seems, but I'm not one of those Beardie owners who say they love eachother and would die without eachother. Just because they're good together doesn't mean they like eachother. They probably just deal with eachothers' company. They'll be seperated in a month though, I assure you!

Yay for all the new stuff. How are your little guys doing today? Hopefully its nothing more than the squash. I didn't mean to give you such a scare, I saw your other post in the health section. The thing is that parasites are a very normal part of owning a dragon. The buggies we feed them can have parasites and pass them on to our dragons. Usually dragons have them in low amounts but when under stress the levels can get out of control. I would be willing to bet your dragons have parasites BUT they may not be at high enough levels to need treatment. For example I had to give Kratos a round of meds for pinworms and cociddia. He still has a +3 count of pinworms but he was given an all clear because that is considered to be normal and acceptable levels.

I just realized I kind of wrote A LOT in the last post. I like to get my words out clearly, and sometimes I accidentally write miniature novels. :oops:

Yeah my other post was before I started really updating my thread. Oh it wasn't you that gave me a scare, it's everyone telling me how bad the parasites can be, how harsh the treatments are, and all that stuff. I take all of your info on my good side and I rarely get upset over anything! I couldn't be on them having parasites because I simply do not know. We'll know in about a month if they have any. Please don't think of me as a bad Beardie owner, I just want to make sure I'll have the funds to take care of them if the worst happens. They'll get their treatments, I'm sure.

Another poop came today! It was from Fiz, and it was Grade A Poop! :blob5: :blob8: :D :D Log shaped, no diarrhea, no undigested squash, etc. I'm going to go upstairs in a few minutes to check and see if my other Beardie pooped yet! Although I'm having difficulties getting their temperatures up to par. It's only about 90 degrees on the hot side as of an hour ago. The heat in the house was turned up so maybe it'll jump start the temps.

On a brighter note, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

They're getting another in a few hours. They gobbled down their collard greens, and I only gave them ONE tiny piece of squash each to see how they handle digesting just one tiny morsel.

On a brighter note, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
