How big should my dragon be prior to offering adult male dubia (I don't know dragons age but is NOT an adult)
I've got way too many adult male dubia so I'd would ld like to use them but don't want to put my beardie at any risk
Thanks for your thoughts!
I feed the adult males off but it comes down to size. Your dragon will need to be able to easily attack and chew down an adult roach. Darwin is 18'' long and about 350g.
My girl eats them happily, but she's about 20months and 17". She does have trouble digesting the wings - from asking around it seems some dragons are okay with them and some aren't. So I clip them off.
If you're okay with gross stuff you could cut them in half so that you could use a few of your excess males as feeders. (Dubia are gooey though.) I did that when accidentally sent large/adult locusts when Mort was a baby.
