PLEASE HELP!

My 2yr old beardie has been erratically glass-surfing for the last 4 days. She is usually calm, but she has not stopped running back & forth going nuts in her tank! She's been having watery-runny small diarrhea multiple times a day. I am extremely worried ab her, I can't get her to stop!

Other Facts:
- Tank is about 50/60 gallons
- Lots of hiding, climbing toys
- Proper Lighting (2 100W basking bulbs, 1 50w Basking Bulb, 1 Reptisun t8 (the long uv thing), bask temps (95-105), cool side (85-86)
- She's never had a problem with her enclosure b4 this is new issue

I think she might be very constipated, so ive tried letting her run around outside for a while each day, gave her warm baths, rubbed her belly, gave her a few drops of olive oil and nothing is helping! she keeps dropping multiple small runny poops and even after i clean up the poop, she continues to keep going nuts in the cage!! This is very abnormal for her, she is usually calm, and poops about once every couple of weeks.

Please someone lmk what i should do! Thank you so much!

Has she ever laid eggs before ? She may be carrying eggs and looking for a laying area. Set up a laybox for her ASAP, Google how to do it and put her in. Using a mix of sand + topsoil from Home Depot/ Lowe's dampened with warm water works the best. Put that in a medium plastic tote and pile it about 10" H on one side.

And where is the T 8 and what distance do you have it from basking decor and how old is the UVB? NO clear plastic cover over the bulb please --- this could be a factor in the glass surfing as well along w/ correct basking temps----------- how are you taking them? The surface basking temp needs to be on the place where she sits for basking stick ons will not give you correct basking temps-- what does she do outside the tank ?

Sorry, I forgot to clarify! The T8 is mounted inside the cage, approx. 6inches away from basking spot, and covers about 2/3rds of her cage across the back wall. For the temps, I have a digital thermometer mounted on the hot side (with a probe attached so I can individually measure the cool side temps & the basking spot temp. Outside of the tank, she is running around like crazy as well!

Last year, I set up a lay box for her (cause of constant scratching) and she loved it! But she didn't lay anything. Do you think it's possible that she has to lay? If she is carrying eggs, is there any way to check?

Hello,

That would be my first thought also, possibly needing to lay eggs! Definitely try to get a laybox made up for her, in case she does need
to lay. It is hard to know for sure if she needs to lay but if she constantly is restless, tries to dig, etc, has a big appetite initially & starts to
gain weight are a few signs of laying.
Are you giving extra calcium for her just in case she might be developing some eggs?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
