The goal isn't to match it in intensity perse, it's to match it's output in amounts of visible light wavelengths. I don't know how exactly to put what I'm trying to say into words, but lets just say the goal would be to make the lighting in your tank match that charts line across the spectra, but not necessarily at the same intensity. Imagine if you will cutting the output by half. If you cut in in half across the whole spectra, the line would still be the same across, it would just be lower down.
The lighting we provide is typically very high in greens and blues, and lacks many of the other colors in the spectra. That's the goal. Not to move humanity into the next phase of existastance by creating the sun in our 40g tanks lol!
