Hey guys... So Marvin just took his bath. He was happy go lucky in the tub, but drank alot. He is now out of the tub but he is breathing weird. When he exhales, he is exhaling hard causing his side to retract in quite a bit and he is puffing up his beard more then usual. (It no longer seems like he is just stretching it out.) And he is opening and closing his mouth. I am worried that he might have aspirated some water. I cant really hear his lungs with my stethoscope, but ai dont know if that is normal because of their thick skin... someine please just throw me some ideas...
Sometimes they do sort of hyperventilate in the bath, esp. after drinking a lot. it usually passes, but keep him in the tank where it's warm. If he continues to breathe heavily after an hour or so, pick him up + tilt him head down to let any aspirated water clear out. Silly dragons.
If you are afraid he aspirated any water, you can also keep him a little warmer overnight, too just to boost his immune system some. Keep it around 80 or so, to help him ward off any respiratory issues.
