Im shure sombody has asked this at some point but I dont know the ancer. How does getting a second beardie affect your first beardie. You see, Im having so much fun with puff that Im considering a second beardie, a female. I want to make a large viv and keep both mail and female togther in my livingroom. I know verry little about pairs living togther. As Puff is my first beardie and we have onily had him about 2 months. Puff is about 14 weeks old is this a good age to introduce a female? Is there a better time? I want to inrich his life but I dont know if this is a good idea or not. Aney advice would be appcated.

It's never good to put 2 beardies together. There could be dominance issues or over breeding at too early an age or worse fighting which can end in death or loss of limbs or tails.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but beardies cannot be housed together.Beardies are territorial and will fight sometimes to the death. There have been a few success stories of beardies living happily together all their lives with no problems. More often a story of someone housing beardies together and then coming home to tail nyps, toe nips,or worse, death of one of their pets. I would recommend getting another vi set up and then getting another beardie. To me it would not be worth the risks involved to house them together.
oh my I had no Idea you couldnt put them togther. I just figured that a mail and a female could be housed togther. Guess I wont be doing that! Thanks for the information.
