Okay, as some of you may know, Critter my baby bearded dragon passed away not long ago. I am seriously thinking about getting another one, and
I have just a few questions that need answered before I can buy another one.
1. I do know that breeders are much better than pet stores. But is it a good idea to order from a breeder and have the bearded dragon shipped to
to your house. Especially in the dead of winter where I live.
Gah! I swear I had more but I can't remember, if anybody knows an answer to this one question that I have asked please answer. I cannot find a local
breeder, so that would be the only way. However if I do have to get one from a pet store I will drill them with questions. If they get tired of the
questions, well then I'll say, " If you don't have the patience to answer these questions believe me I can take my business else where.
It does depend on where you live and how cold it gets. My rule is not to ship if it is going to be less than 40 degrees at my place or thiers. You can add heat packs to the shipping box and they should be fine. I would rather have to wait in order to get it from a reputable breeder than get one from a pet store. You can talk to the breeder about good times to ship...... if they are reputable they won't want to ship it unless they know for sure it will arrive safe and sound. Good luck I hope you get your beardie soon !
