I was wondering how often i should be feeding my beardie now that he is 9 months old. His current diet is fresh greens every morning and about 25-30 crickets in the afternoon. I also have Zilla Bearded dragon food(without crickets) if i run out of crickets. I just got some Superworms today which im gonna see if he likes tomarrow.
At nine months old, he's still a young growing dragon and needs a lot of food to support that continuing growth. He should be offered 50 crickets a day or as much as he'll eat in ten minutes, depending on which feeding method you use. He'll also need a daily salad of fresh greens and veggies.
You don't need to worry about cutting back on his feeding until he enters that transitional adult period of 12-18 months of age; at 18 months he should be on the full adult diet of 25-50 bugs a week and a large daily salad, so at 12 months you'll start to gradually cut him back to help hit that goal by 18 months.
