I have an adult male that is about three years old. he is about 19.5 inches long and weighs 636g as of today. he seems to look healthy and does not have obvious fat on him. Is he to fat or just a heavy boy? BTW I'm new here so let me know if I'm doing anything wrong in this post. I would add photos if I knew how to convert them from my Google account.
Hi there, he could be somewhat on the heavy side but some dragons are naturally stockier in build than others. Pics will help, here's how to post them : https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ Then use the XIMG to upload them
He looks just a little on the chunky side but not obese. Now is def. the time to cut back on the insects + get him to exercise at least a few times a week.

Funny thing I actually don't feed him as much as is recommended. I will try to work on the exercise part though...even though he just sits when i take him out  . What do you thing would be a good weight for him? I'm thinking high 500's to low 600's?
Last year Rufus got up to 768 grams before he started brumating so I don't think 600 is unreasonable, it probably just depends on how big the dragon is. Rufus is definitely on the big side, I don't know exactly how big he is but it's about 24". He's been gaining weight back since he finished brumating and is about 680 grams right now. I don't think he'll get quite as heavy this year because I've been a little more restricted with his diet.
