its been almost 4 days since my hatchlings all came out on the same day, except for 4....the eggs look good, but I'm just worried about them now, cause they are changing a it, one of them is starting to turn a blueish colour and another is developing a bump...I'm worried the babies are either over grown, or underdeveloped.. any suggestionsI was thinking of slitting the one to see if they are ok or not, but I dont want to kill a baby either
From everything I have read on this forum, I think most people would advise you not to slit the eggs - ever. Just wait it out and see if they come out on their own. If they don't, they are probably not strong enough to make it on their own. Plus, if they are just taking their time, you could risk injuring them. I don't know, see what everyone else says but that would be my advice. Good luck, I hope they poke their heads out soon!
Eggs can take up to a weeks from 1st to last with hatching. I have heard some go longer. Just leave them be, keep proppertemps and humidity and let nature do the rest. I know its frustrateing sometimes, but many times I said an egg wouldnt make it only to come down in the am to find a baby.
ok I'll try to be patient I guess I was lucky enough for them to hatch at teh 2 month mark rather than the 100days :O lol I dont think I could wait that long!
