is it normal for him to eat that much? sorry im a new owner lol i know he poo'd today because they're was a soft stool inside the pen when i cleaned it up, he has a 40 gal tank with a basking area of 98-105 degrees and a cooling area of 75 or so
so he's pooping and doing well, just wanna make sure hes ok
Yeah if he's pooping regularly and is alert and active he's probably just fine. Offer him as many small roaches as he wants a couple of times per day. His appetite will fluctuate but just let him dictate how much he needs at a given time. He's still a little guy so he probably doesn't need a ton but he will probably eat more as he gets bigger and hits some growth spurts.
Yeah as far as I know. I try to give them a wide variety of veges though to ensure they are getting plenty of nutrients. I know they like squash and bananas and oranges a lot. I also feed leftover greens, green beans, bell peppers, and other kitchen scraps including occasional bread. The roaches aren't too picky. I just avoid offering them something that could be harmful to a dragon like avocado or onions.
