Thank you - if I give her baby food, continue with the calcium and water how long should it be until I notice an improvement? It seems like she has alot of symptoms of dehydration, I'm so frustrated at myself I haven't seen this and she has got like this. I'm so glad I have stayed up and looked alot further into it - she has hope.

Hello,

Poor thing, I am so sorry. You can just drip food onto the end of her nose to see if she will try to lick
any of it off. She really needs some hydration badly.
We are all pulling for her, please keep us posted on things.

Hi all, vet said what I thought which is hydration so every few hours I have been dripping water onto her nose which she has been lapping up which is a good sign. They also gave me some specialist food that I have to mix so I have been giving her that onto the end of her nose which she has also been having. I have also bee spraying regularly with a mist to help her. He gave her a shot of a vitamin also that he said should help her. I'm going to fight tooth and nail for her and will do anything in my power to help her. I hope it's not too late and she pulls through, I can't believe I missed this I'm so annoyed with myself! 😥 She always had clean water which she used to regularly sit in and drink from and always had food available to her. I'll keep everyone updated but hopefully I see an improvement within the next week!

O.K , keep up the hydration and see how she does. Have you done a dripping water session yet ? How did she do with the shot ? I don't think those help any but at least they didn't try a bunch of shots at once like they do to some dragons.

Would you mind explaining a dripping water session if you had time as I can't seem to find any information about it?

You can put a little plastic lid under her head and drip water directly on her nose. Many times they will drink the drops right as they fall but it might take a minute of slow dripping. You can put a few drops of non citrus no sugar added fruit juice in or some raw honey.

Sorry I seen you posted that 🙈 I will be sure to try this first thing tommorow. She has just went to bed for the night - she's had some more water and her food. She seems to be drinking really well both her food and water as I drop it onto her nose she is lapping it up. I will be sure to put a container underneath tommorow though and try this as this should help her get more drops in her system! Thank you so much! This is her now just a day later, she seems slightly darker than she has been as I have misted her and shes about to go to sleep in the photo however I know its going to take time and it's not a drastic improvement I feel I can help her turn this around. Thanks for all your help and I will again keep you updated.

O.K, good that she's drinking ! I'm sure she's very special to you and you're doing a great job. :) The hydration should help her, you can leave out the misting though, they don't absorb water through their skin. Unless the humidity is extremely low you don't need to spray her.

Ok will leave the misting out - is there anything other than what I'm doing that I could also do? The vet said it is only hydration, but quite bad so hopefully if I keep on with this she improves.

If I continue with her food mixture for the foreseeable future and slowly introduce live food again down the line and keep her on her food the vet gave until she starts eating live and kale again?

For now just the Critical Care supplement while she's still dehydrated + weak. At some point if she's doing better you should be able to give a small amount of kale and an easy to chew , freshly shed dubia or a few small soft ones. Don't hurry it though.

Thank you - will continue with that and purchase some more when needed. I won't rush her into live food - if she is getting all she needs from the critical care I will continue with that for a while. Thank you so much! You have been such a help!

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
