    Very infrequent poops

So I'm having a hard time finding fixtures for putting a t5 fluorescent bulb inside the tank. I'm sure I can find a hood to put on top of the lid, but I prefer to put it inside the tank. Maybe I'm just not looking for the right keywords. Do you have any recommendations?

    Very infrequent poops

Regarding the t5 light, the basking piece is probably 4 to 5 in tall. The tank is 17 in tall. So it sounds to me like it would be reasonable to put the light inside the tank, attached up near the top of the glass. Do you agree? Also, do you have any input on my usage of the rocks instead of...

    Very infrequent poops

Sorry for the long delay in replying, life got pretty hectic (and still is!). A brief bit of news: short version of the story, I rescued a beardie last night. Super thin, looked malnourished to me. He ate dubia pretty well, so that is good. And he seems to be alert and active. So that is...

    Very infrequent poops

Oh, sorry, forgot the T value. It's a T8. And yeah, it's been in the back of my brain to get a bigger terrarium for a while, but just hasn't been close enough to the front. I suppose it's time. Any guidance on placement for the T8 10 UVB? And... when I posted my question, I anticipated more...

    Very infrequent poops

I'll do the rinse. I agree it sounds like he's dehydrated. Using a tube, ZooMed 10.0. I rest the light fixture on the top of the screen. 15gal tank, height is 10". Also, I've read that not all beardies drink from a dish. I've never seen mine drink from a dish, but I always have water there...

    Very infrequent poops

So I'm not sure what is up. I've had my beardie (Noodles) for a few years now, and his poops are pretty infrequent, sometimes a few weeks between. This time, I feel like it's been close to a month. His behavior is normal, just not pooping often. His diet is mainly mustard greens (and their...

    Wormies on the bottom

So I was checking out my dubia colony this morning (a few babies, but not as many as I expected), and I noticed some seed moths on the bottom mixed in with the frass, so I investigate and I observe some tiny white larva snuffling around in it too. So I do a thorough cleaning of the bin...

    Dubia colony questions

I am working on my first colony. My primary purpose is to feed my one dragon, but also have fun raising a colony and see where things go from there. No babies yet, and I haven't disturbed them enough to try to find any pregnant females. Anyway... I have an 18 gallon opaque bin with about 25...
