Not eating, weird behaviour - possibly mating or brumation?!

Weird update So we're back to thinking he's interested in breeding? Yesterday he pretty explicitly bit and humped my partners foot twice, wiggling his butt enthusiastically on the floor afterwards. Does this ever happen when female beardies aren't around? I can't find anything on the net about...

Not eating, weird behaviour - possibly mating or brumation?!

Hey thanks so much for getting back to me! That's really interesting to know, I'm told by my partner he's been really sleepy today so hopefully things are calming down. We're going to keep his temperatures down to give him the option to brumate and hopefully he'll let us know if that's not what...

Not eating, weird behaviour - possibly mating or brumation?!

I have a young adult bearded dragon called Otto. He's around a year old and I am at a loss. His behaviour has been getting increasingly weird for weeks so it will take a bit of explaining I'm afraid. First a few weeks ago he became a more fussy eater, turning his nose up at various foods and...

    Lethargic/Potentially dehydrated

Ahh really well! Vet thinks it was possibly a temporary calcium deficiency. He gave him an injection and some worming medicine as a precaution and he's really bounced back this afternoon. I took a picture :D

    Lethargic/Potentially dehydrated

I'm kind of relieved to hear that! I'm not sure I'm ready for the pressure of getting something into his stomach! Actually encouragingly he ate quite a few locusts yesterday after we took him out and gave him attention for a bit. It's really weird, it's like his eyes are vacant and he's not...

    Lethargic/Potentially dehydrated

Hi guys, thanks so much for the input! I was pretty sceptical about giving him attention because normally he's not a big fan of handling (prefers to explore and gets grumpy about being picked up although he doesn't mind sitting with us) but we tried giving him a bath this morning and it took...

    Lethargic/Potentially dehydrated

I need help. Our bearded dragon Otto (around 8 months old) is acting lethargic and strange and not himself. We went away this weekend - left him on Saturday with some rocket and bell pepper, he was acting fine, his usual cheerful self and enjoying his rocket. When we got back on Sunday...

    Trouble Taming/Backing Away

My partner and I bought our first bearded dragon 2 months ago (his name is Otto), we interacted with him as little as possible the first four weeks on advice of the reptile shop and started trying to handle/interact with him a month ago. At first we tried picking him up but he was struggling and...
