3.5 year old beardie head cockeyed lethargic

Hi, we rescued our beardie a 2.5 years ago. He's been pretty stable and sometimes would go through slower periods, possibly close to brumation. He's been just hanging out in his hammock which is his basking area, not really eating. This afternoon, we noticed his head was cockeyed and he...

    Orange head roach escape?

Edited to correct my atrocious grammar and typos from my furiously fast typing. So I thought orange head roaches were non climbers. But. While some company was over, one of the kids said there was a bug climbing up the wall. Sure enough it looked just like one of the 2 dozen roaches i got a...

    Type, morph input?

Thanks! re: Where did we get him from - We went to a reptile specialty store looking for a juvenile and they had him as a surrendered rescue. They kept him under observation for a bit before putting him out, but I didn't get much information on him.

    Type, morph input?

I am curious to see what folks say about his type. He is a rescue and we don't know whole lot. Not that it really matters unless it impacts the care I give him. I don't plan on breeding. -age? (he's about 14.5"), they said "about a year" -type, morph (trans? black eyes, other?)

    Ideal/Recommended Feeding Schedules for Juvenile

Following Also, what size is the OP's juvenile? I was told ours is a juvenile, and then that he's a year old. He's now about 14.5" snout to tail tip. Just trying to make sure I am feeding him enough insects. I feed once a day (sometimes an evening snack) and have not ever fed him 30 crickets...

Vacation Planning - Food and Care Questions

Hello, We have had our beardie, Stewart for a month today. He's a juvenile-ish, we were told around a year old, but he's almost 14.5 inches snout to tail tip so perhaps a little younger. he grew about an inch in about a month. We have a friend willing to check in on him while we are on a 6 day...

    Wild Man After Shed?

Hi, Anyone have experience with their male beardie going a little wild after a full back shed? He was pretty sluggish for several days, back looked like it was ready to shed, then poof, his back finally started to shed and he went a little nuts in his tank, climbing, jumping, etc. I let him...

Newbie Set Up Review for Stewart

Thanks! I am working on this, but it is turning out to be tougher than I thought to find the right "thing" to use. Should I get the climbing thing closer to under UVB bulb or to directly under basking bulb? I am concerned it would be too hot if under basking bulb, but would like him to have the...
