    My Beardie is attacking me

He was most likely scared and hasn't gotten over it yet. My male dragon never bearded or bit, but once bringing him outside something spooked him and he was not happy. I'd say just give him some time and he will be ok.

    Beardies and other animals!

I wouldn't trust my other animals around my dragons. Not sure what my cat would do, but my dog could easily, even if accidentally, kill one with a swoop of his paw.

Xrays of my gravid female! (pics)

Pretty dragon! I showed the pic to my Calypso. ;) "See? You wouldn't want that to happen to you!" :D

    true salmonella risk?

I'm not sure how much/little of a risk it is... I have two dragons, a turtle and frogs. There hasn't been any illness' from salmonella in this house. (also have a cat, two dogs and a child) I do wear gloves when cleaning tanks/enclosures but not when handling the pets.

**Mega Ray Issues** / Megaray RECALL

My dragon was grumpy, lethargic and had the eyes closing when we had a problem with a mvb. Try shutting it off for a few days and see if your dragon perks up. If he doesn't perk up, then it may be a different problem.

    How much should be eating?

Usually a feeding of as much as he will eat in 10 minutes time. Do this 2-3 times a day. Some dragons eat more than others, so hard to give an exact amount. He should also be offered greens daily, even if he doesn't eat them yet.

    Constipation

Sometimes a little unsweetened applesauce does the trick. Or a drop of olive oil. If you think he is 'constipated' then stop with the solid feeders, use only greens for now. See if that helps.

does sheding put dragons off food

Mine get grumpy when shedding and eat less or don't eat when they are the most uncomfortable. 6 days seems a long time to not eat though. Can you try a different feeder and see if he can be enticed to try it?

What is with these lights, blowing up after only a week!??!

Can you try just a regular household bulb for heat? That is what I use. They are cheaper.

    big apple sun force

Haven't heard of that bulb so no help there. Just wanted to mention that to be on the safe side, use the recommended distance from the bulb. Not sure how far away the bulb is from the basking spot, or what the rec. is on that one. :)

    EATING HABITS

Some beardies want to eat what they want to eat. ;) Mealworms aren't very nutritious though. You are better off trying to get him to eat the gutloaded crickets. As for pinkies, isn't 5 months old a little young for them? Many people won't feed them at all except to a gravid female.

how much to feed 7 week old dragons

8 crickets a day isn't nearly enough for a growing dragon. Some babies can eat up to 100 of them a day. (tiny/small) What size crickets are you feeding?

    Superworms?

Superworms and mealworms are different. Not sure what the difference is though. I wouldn't let him eat too many superworms right at first. Also make sure he is well hydrated. If things are going smoothly, you can use them as a staple like any other feeder. Calypso had trouble (pooping) when...

Hello - new owners and a semi-urgent question (laying eggs?)

She is a pretty dragon. Congratulations on getting your first one! I don't know anything about gravid females, but looking through the boards will help you there. Have you tried feeling for eggs? If she was ready to lay them, I think you would be able to feel them.
