    DIY Enclosure Questions

Hey guys, My dragon is currently in a 55 gallon enclosure and it's working for him, but I've been considering building a custom Viv that's longer just so he has even more room to move. My main questions are: What dimensions would be ideal for an adult dragon? What type of wood is the safest...

    Bumps? Possibly about to shed?

Hey all, I've had a dragon for two months now. He is a young adult. This is day two where he's hung out on the cool side of his tank all day. Eating normally, temps in tank are good, not agitated when I touch him or get him out. He looks way bumpier than he normally does though. Is this common...

Jotan's Setup (Info for newbies like myself)

Thanks for the feedback! So far the rocks aren't getting too hot (I've been measuring the temps with an infared thermometer) but I will definitely be more conscious to check it more frequently & rearrange if I need to! Thanks :)

    Dubia help

Either, honestly not sure yet. I just want a good company that has reputable shipping since the weather conditions here are cold and I can't guarantee I'll be home when the package arrives. Thank you!

    Dubia help

I rehomed a beardie in January and he came with so many dubias I haven't had to order more until now. I live in the Northeast so I'm wondering where the best place to order from is this time of year as it's still cold out in Pennsylvania.

Jotan's Setup (Info for newbies like myself)

Hey all. In January I rehomed a beardie and have spent the last month and a half really getting his enclosure set up the way I want. He came with a lot of accessories so I had to get creative to utilize what I had, make sure it's adequate, and not spend a ton of money. I just wanted to make a...

Beardie been kept in wrong conditions

Funny enough, he just started basking again tonight. The MVB is less than a month old! I'm pretty certain he's close to shedding as well. Will post updates on separate forum.

Beardie been kept in wrong conditions

Yes he has a hammock! & I do use reptile carpet. Newspaper is easier to clean, but reptile carpet is more durable. Pros and cons to both. My guy didn't eat the first few days I had him. Some prefer to eat off the floor as opposed to a food dish so you could try it. Eventually instinct will...

    Shedding?

Hey all, I adopted a beardie last month. He is my first dragon. I noticed today his color looks darker than usual and last night he was itching his head like a dog. He also hasn't been basking as much the last few days. I read that he's probably about to shed. Are these normal behaviors if...

Beardie been kept in wrong conditions

This is Jotan's new setup. The only modification I'm gonna make is a rig to hang the UVB IN his enclosure instead on the screen (screen tops filter out UVB) The enclosure thread has some awesome setup ideas if you ever want inspiration and creative DIYs!

Beardie been kept in wrong conditions

Setup looks good to me. Once you have the proper lighting and temperature gradient just make sure there's multiple levels for your beardie to climb so he can get as close or as far as he prefers (which it looks like you already have) also, I'd suggest an infared temperature gun for accurate temp...

Beardie been kept in wrong conditions

I don't personally have experience with infared lights. I think most people would agree that a standard lightbulb gives off just as much heat and is cheaper though!
