    Dragon not eating his greens!

mine refused all greens when I first got him. It's been a slow process but he now eats all I give him. Just stick at it is my advice. I would starve him for 3 days with only chopped up collard greens for food, he wouldn't eat them, so he'd get a few insects and try again. After a month he...

    what are these bumps

hello everyone, hoping someone can maybe tell me what they think these bumps might be: Tbh I don't think he's going to make it but who knows, I have never been able to tell how my BD has been doing. I've had him for about a year and he was terribly impacted when I first got him, he only...

    Substitute for tiles?

i use cardboard. I used a big ikea box and cut a piece to fit into the viv. I've covered this with brown packing paper. He's been scratching the paper a bit walking over it but you just change the packing paper every once in a while.

    *URGENT* Impromper lighting?

like said the thermometer used will measure the temperature of the glass sides and they will always be low. 100 watts should be plenty for basking under. But you might be losing a lot of heat especially if you have no good lid. Personally I would use a wooden board as lid to keep some heat in...

I'm not sure I'm taking proper care of my beardie

some very good extensive advice but extensive is the word. At the end of the day they are just a reptile. Some people here seem to spend as much on their beardie as a dog. At the end of the day your beardie has survived this far and with a bit of tweaking you can have him live a good life...

How to Hang Out w/ my Beardie

cats are a beardie's worst enemy. Think how a mouse would feel if it saw a cat then multiply that by 10 because the beardie knows it can't run as fast as a mouse. Mice often die from a cat chase not because they get caught but because they get a heart attack from the fear. Can you teach common...

My bearded dragon won't poop anymore

too many mealworms in the diet can also cause impaction. Greens however help clear the stomach imo.

My beardie isn't eating at all

yeah they get stressed easily. Like said mine really cannot resist locusts, if it weren't for them my guy would be far pickier than yours but mine has just taken his long anticipated poo which is good news here.

Reptisun T8 vs T5 in new enclosure

t5's are far more efficient than t8's so if you are thinking about it, get the t5. However placing the light above the screen will reduce it's efficiency by 40% and you are better using the t8 inside. Doesn't matter if the BD can touch it occasionally, just hang it high enough that he can't...

Have you checked temps are ok in his viv 4. Is he getting uvb light from a new bulb 5. are you dusting food with calcium...

    Poop question...

Mine has only pooped once a month for past year. I think he was terribly impacted when I first got him but still alive and kicking and getting better by the month. Glad I'm not cleaning up after him daily though
