    Eye issues during feeding

Update - I noticed today that it seems like her eyes get a little watery when eating salad as well, though not as much. Today I gave her smaller than usual roaches and she didn't have the usual problems with coordination/catching them (yay!) but still her eyes watered so much she actually had a...

    Eye issues during feeding

I haven't noticed her having watery eyes any other time apart from when I give her dubias. The roaches are about the size of the space between her eyes or smaller. She usually eats 10-15, though last feeding she had 6 and today she spent the whole day in her hide, so I think she may be going...

    Eye issues during feeding

What concerns me the most is the part at the end, she's of course never had perfect aim but there she's going in a completely different direction. It's also that it happens consistently every feeding and with watery eyes. Though if it is just her having a few less braincells than usual I would...

    Eye issues during feeding

Its just about exactly 15 inches from the basking area but I'll move around some decor to give her closer access in case she need it, the lamp is a T5 Arcadia 12% with a reflector hood (I realize now you can't see it very well in the photo). I don't have temperature gauges though - I'll buy a...

    Eye issues during feeding

Here's the video of her eating, its of the full feeding session but the problem is most visible starting at at 5:48 Sorry about the tongs all over the place lol, she usually eats more so I got concerned but thinking about it now she may just be preparing to go into brumation

    Eye issues during feeding

The tank is 60cm (~24 inches) tall, she has her basking spot not directly but a bit to the side of the uvb. She's got non adhesive shelf liner as a substrate, and gets fed using a small dog bowl. I hadn't considered an allergy, I'll try giving her other food and see if it helps! Thank you Tank...

    Eye issues during feeding

The distance to the uvb ranges from 15 to 20 inches, no colored bulbs. I'll try finding some reptile eye drops, thank you for the suggestion!

White patches on arm and leg

Hmm, to me this still looks like she's shedding! I know you said it looks too white but that's what my beardie looks like when she's about to shed, and I've found it tends to look lighter on their legs so I doubt there's any need to worry(:

    Eye issues during feeding

Hi all! I've had my beardie Marta for about six years now but recently I've become worried about a change in behavior during feeding. When I give her roaches, after the first few her eyes begin to water and it seems like she was trouble seeing/locating the roach. I've looked online but haven't...

    Husbandry Questions

Hello! For context, I used to lurk constantly on here looking for info on how to best care for my beardie, but left a few years back. Recently though I started coming across new information I haven't heard of before, so I'm worried my care and setup may be outdated/incorrect. Any advice would be...

    Bulk Dubia Roaches in Europe?

Hi, does anyone know of anywhere that sells bulk Dubia Roaches (50-100count) for a good price that ships to Europe or specifically Spain? I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find a good source of Dubia Roaches since I moved here. All the websites I've visited so far have either only...

    Hibernation and Dragon Sitting

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with finding good beardie sitters, but you can ask local reptile shops if they can provide boarding. I've also heard of Petsmart/Petco or other big chain pet stores providing boarding, but most people don't seem to have good experiences with them. If you...

What are the names of your beardies?

My beardie's name is Marta because the Russian word for March is "Mart" and I got her in March. It was a bit of a last-minute decision, I was originally going to get a boy and name him Aspen but at the last moment something happened and I got Marta instead. Thinking back I could have named her...

    Brumation Noob

I like to keep the lights on for an hour or two less than usual to simulate the outdoors, but still turn them on every day in case the beardie decides to wake up. As for feeding, as long as he's sleeping you don't need to offer any food since while he's in brumation he probably won't take it...

Moving to Portugal With a Beardie

Does anyone have any experience with or information on moving to Portugal with a bearded dragon? I haven't been able to find any information on the requirements to do so or if it's even allowed. We plan on moving from the US to Portugal this summer if we can and I couldn't imagine leaving my...

    Baby beardie bonding

One of the ways I bonded with my beardie was a I hand-fed her her greens. However, this did result in her at one point eating greens only from my hand  . Another thing I read you can do to help her get used to being picked up is lift her just a little bit off the floor of her enclosure and...

    Let’s see your hands!

My beardie does scratch my hands pretty often, but it's never enough to make it bleed. This is probably because I do trim her nails regularly. About that, I used to be terrified of trimming her nails, but after countless trips to a reptile shop to get them trimmed, I saw that it's actually...
