    Sorry.. another newbie question

You can bathe a beardie at any size, just make sure that the water is not too deep (I go just a bit below his shoulders). My dragon is 11.5 inches right now and I will be giving him a short bath (well as long as he will stay in, like 5-10 minutes or so) just to keep him hydrated.

    hi, my name is kitti....

I really don't know about the skin thing, I've never heard of anyone talk about their beardie eating their previously shed skin. About the 'eating eachother' they won't actually eat eachother, but if they are kept in the same enclosure they can fight for dominance and beardies can lose...

    Beardie Possibilities....

Hey welcome to the forums and good luck with your future beardies. If they are housed together now, you should consider housing them seperately because they male can overbreed with the female and stress her out a lot, and if they are related they could inbreed. I'm not from the bay area, but...

JUST GOT HIM NOW INSTEAD OF MONDAY

At 6" you might not want to have any water in his enclosure, they could drown and it could bring the humidity too high. Instead, just bathe him a few times a week (1-3 I'd say) to keep him hydrated. For crickets, I'd buy as many as you can afford at once (be sure they are the right size)...

JUST GOT HIM NOW INSTEAD OF MONDAY

Thats a little hot, but it will be hard to get the temps down with only a 25 gallon. Is one whole side 110 degrees or just one basking spot? If its the whole side, lower the temp so just one basking spot is 110 degrees. Edit: Yes you turn both the basking light and UVB light off, you should...

    Mesh cage or Glass tank?

It would be okay for a short while, but he will outgrow it very quickly and need a 55-60g at least.

    Mesh cage or Glass tank?

Mesh cage really wouldn't be very good for a hot desert animal, they are more for tropical animals that need good ventilation, like a chameleon. Although your mesh cage wouldn't be fit for your dragon's main enclosure, it should make a fine outdoor enclosure for your beardie. The only pros I...
