    Colloidal Silver?

I have a lizard that came to me in rough shape. He had protruding tissue from his eyes. He also had in infection on his head. It appeared to be fungal...but the vet felt it was retained shed. He diagnosed the lizard with fat deposits behind the eyes putting pressure on them. He advised a...

    PACNWRS Expo!

I know this isn't the 'Events' section...but no one reads that one. I'm also going to mention my trade name...if none of its allowed, please delete. April 1st & 2nd is the PACNWRS reptile expo in Hillsboro Oregon. It's the largest in the PNW, lots of animals and supplies to buy. Well worth...

    Lizard Swimming Pool

My nearly 3' Rio Feurte beaded lizard swimming in his kitty litter pan pool. Crazy lizard has been in there for 3 days ;) I usually let them stay in as long as they want unless it's nearing one week because it would be feeding time.85426 7647119988 The picture looks like he is in a plastic bin...

    Grain Grinder For Roach Food

85426 1028648965 I made 200 lbs of roach food about a week ago and it took forever to grind stuff up in my Nutrabullet. Surprisingly it didn't destroy it, it took a total of 8 hrs to grind everything up. I decided I'm going to buy this grain mill. It holds 1kg of material and is suppose to work...

200 lbs Roach & Cricket Food

Based on conversations here, and some of my own research I made up 200 lbs of roach food. I'm going to have it available when I sell my orange head roaches at the expo I'll be vending at. It took forever to grind up that much food :) 85426 4968653838

    Incubator & Baby Picture

Been absent from the forum for awhile. Been too busy with other lizard stuff. Babies graduated to fuzzy mice today and here is my newest incubator build. (BTW..I don't feed live mice, they are frozen thawed...just incase the picture might bother some) The incubator is a Monster energy drink...

    Sorting Roaches

Well, because my orange head colony is gigantic, sorting roaches using the bucket method would have been a nightmare. So I decided to drill a bunch of holes in some big totes. Notice I am a perfectionist and actually measured where to put the holes. I was bummed when the larger bit grabbed and...

    Hurry Up and Hatch!!

This section is pretty much dead, so I'll add something :) Day 169 of incubation of beaded lizard eggs. They should hatch really soon...hopefully it won't take the full 220 days. I incubated a degree warmer (83°F) than people suggest to speed things up. I'm thinking pipping will be sometime in...

    Morphological Question and More

First I want to thank the people that contacted me to continue posting. It does mean a lot that you took the time to PM me. So thank you very much... Too be honest I mainly joined the forum to help. I usually don't need help...but I have still learned a lot by being here. Even though I have had...

    My Rankins Eat Pigs!

Okay, not really swine, just roaches that are pigs. This picture is of a mound of roach food that is about an inch deep. I feed it wet with orange juice so I don't have to mess with water crystals. My orange head colony will eat this much twice a day!! Probably 3 times a day if I offered it...

    Vets

As we all know many vets are not experienced with reptiles...and after reading a post yesterday about a vet that I feel contributed to an animals death, I wanted to post my experience yesterday. This isn't about a bearded dragon, but it doesn't really matter, its still applicable. There is only...

    Dang Cats!!

Not as bad as the title might suggest..but frustrating. My low temp alarm started going off on my incubator and sure enough temps got down to 78°F...not a major emergency, but thankfully I was home. After tearing everything apart and pushing buttons and sliding switches I figured out what the...

    Seaweed?

Anyone ever feed their dragons seaweed? Not off the beach...like sushi roll seaweed. I found a bunch of it in my cupboard awhile ago and have been feeding it to the roaches. But I decided to soak it in water to soften it up and offered it to the dragons today...so far they seem to like it :) I...

    DIY Incubator

85426 153654080985426 190622368485426 5624849191 It made from a wine cooler. Has a 50 watt ceramic heater, and a fan that comes on when the thermostat turns them on. It has an LED light that I can turn on by remote control. I don't have to open it to check eggs.

    People are Cruel!

A friend of mine runs a bearded dragon rescue and people frequently give her bearded dragon's that they cant care for. Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to put a bearded dragon in a box and leave it on her porch all night!! They didn't ring the doorbell or knock!! She found it...
