Come on down to Devlyn Town everyone, let's go!

Looks like a great trip! It's fun to camp with them and give them some time to roam around outside like that.

Shelf life of vitamins and calcium?

I haven't found a difinitive way to tell if the supplements are still good or not. I don't think they'd become harmful for a long time, but may be less potent over time after being unsealed. That's just as guess though based on experience with things like spices and other foods. Since they don't...

    Heat lamp

I use those exact Westinghouse 125w R40 bulbs. They are cheap and work well, but they're getting harder to find so I stock up when I find them. They are a very good option as a basking/heat bulb used in conjunction with a T5 UVB light.

    Darwin

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, he was a rescue via craigslist at about 1yr old in 2016. He is around 9 now.

    Darwin

Darwin went back for a follow up visit. We have his weight back to normal and his fat pads are starting to fill back in a bit, which is the good news. The bad news is that they confirmed the mass around his liver is a form of cancer and that there isn't a viable treatment for it. If he was a cat...

Moving a bearded dragon during brumation

That sounds like a fun drive! I think he'll be fine in the car. I'd just get a carrier that you can strap to a seatbelt. Usually something the size for a cat or small dog. That will have a soft bottom and you can line it with something like fleece to make it even softer. If he's sleeping/in...

    UV light problem: update

Probably best to replace them both in that case. Stinks that they are relatively new, but it's not a component I'd take chances with due to its importance.

Where do you buy F10 SC cleaning product?

I've also found it on TheBeanFarm website in the past. SC is the concentrated sanitizer (what I typically use) and SCXD contains a detergent that supposedly turns it into more of an all in one cleaner and sanitizer. Probably no harm in using it, but I prefer cleaning a dirty surface and then...

Are stickers good on an enclosure?

I wouldn't be afraid to give it a try. As mentioned, just be ready to remove them if they seem to cause a bother.

Traveling in an RV for the Summer

I've been on many trips with my dragons and they've done very well. It provides a good opportunity for time outside to enjoy some natural surroundings and sunlight depending on where you go. My guys, especially Darwin, have really enjoyed roaming around new places (under supervision). If you can...

Is this the beginning of gout?

That doesn't look like cases of gout I've seen, in which the swelling appears more concentrated around joints and fingers/toes. It's possibly a sprain as mentioned, but it could also be (best case) just that the leg is swelling up during the onset of a shed. Sometimes they'll have an arm or leg...

    Darwin

Thanks all for the well wishes. I will do my best to get him through this. As long as he has fight left in him, so do I.

    Darwin

Darwin just came home from a stay in the hospital. His eating kept declining after brumation and while I was able to stabilize his weight with some omnivore care syringe feeding, I wanted to find out if there was an underlying problem aside from his blindness. It looks like his cataracts are...

    Potential GNT?

One of the signs of gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma is a spike in blood glucose, so it's certainly worth keeping a close eye on it. When I've seen it, the results are several times above average so it's something that stands out quite a bit in the results. In my case there was gout as a...

    Help with lighting

I think that looks pretty good. There is a nice gradient of uvb and temp options to move about and get what they want at a given time so I wouldn’t worry much about being too close unless he avoids the area right under the bulb regularly.

    Bioactive?

You don’t have to, but certainly could if you are able to put in the effort to set one up properly. I’d double check biodude’s website to see if their kits are in stock (i think they were low or out of stock recently).

Yeah that's what I keep in my travel kit and emergency stash.

Vet Appointment Secured! Tips and Things to Keep in Mind?

Pinworms are relatively benign and not often treated unless they are in high count. Based on the results it looks like that may be the case here. If I recall correctly, the fenbendazole/panacur is used to treat pinworms, and the metronidazole/flagyl is used to treat protozoa. The combination is...
