    Heat help

One of the lamps is a national geographic brand and I noticed it felt much warmer beneath it than my zoo meds. I switched them around and now her basking spot is around 103f.

    Heat help

I've got 2 100w "modified spectrum replacement" GE incandescent bulbs in right now. I tried a Philips incandescent flood bulb but it didn't get anywhere near hot enough. The flood bulb was 40w at 120V which, the 120V is as high as my lamps can accept.

    Heat help

I've tried switching to house lights to save money and to not have to deal with lights burning out so often. During the hot summer, everything was fine. Now however, it's not warm enough even though I've raised her basking spot. I'd like some lighting suggestions like what brands. Her tank...

I've never heard of bearded dragon co before and oh my gosh they sell clothes for beardies! That's adorable. And the charcoal is way cheaper than I was expecting. Definitely should get some to have on hand just in case.

That's actually how I got into this mess in the first place. It's the last hot day of the year so I took her out to enjoy it. She loves eating clover leaves but now she's open to the flowers too. She was also finally interested in rose petals too and one thing led to another, I tried moonflower...

checked for vets a little further out and they're closed too. It is the bible belt here. I just offered her some water and she wouldn't take it. Not from dripping on her snout and not from a bowl which, she'll drink from. I'm thinking of giving her a warm bath. I'm worried that'll speed things...

So Holly has eaten a full size moon flower. Only the petals though, but I found out they are in fact morning glories and they are toxic. http://reptile-parrots.com/forums/showthread.php/1628-Toxic-Plants It looks like this site says they aren't too toxic and what you have to look for is a...

    Swollen vent

Just went up and gave her some water. You can tell she's tired but she's as alert as ever. I gut load her feeders but I'll start dusting them to boost her calcium. She's most likely deficient right now because I had no idea she had eggs this whole time so I didn't give her extra calcium. I'll...

Its okay that they look like that? I was worried that she didn't get enough calcium. Her appetite still isn't back and she's just sitting there in the middle of her tank. I'm going to leave her be to rest and choose when she's ready to dig into the food in her tank.

    Swollen vent

I don't know what to make of the eggs. Some are solid white and feel pretty hard, some are hard with some yellow spots and some are all yellow and feel paper thin. *update here's a photo of the eggs:

It seems like she's done. She hasnt done anymore digging and she's eaten a little bit of calcium dusted superworms but she's turned her nose up to a dubia and some collard greens.

So uh... she's laying eggs. In her tank. I had no idea. So far there's twelve but I don't know how to tell if she's done and I don't know what to do

    Swollen vent

It's going to be really hard to tell when she's ready to lay. When I first got her, I was still too young to start working or go to college so she was raised with 24/7 attention. Glass dancing is a daily thing with her after she's done basking or eating because to her, it's play time. And like I...

    Swollen vent

I'm going to take her to a vet just to be 100% sure. And the vet should be able to tell me how far along she'd be so I get a better idea of when to get this lay box put together. *edit If this is eggs, this is her very first clutch. And first eggs ever for me so I have no experience with it.

    Swollen vent

Vent's still puffy, it hasn't gone down at all. Do you think it could swell earlier on in the eggs forming? I can't see or feel any lumps in her stomach.

    Swollen vent

She's never laid eggs and she's never been around another bearded dragon at all so, she at least couldn't have fertile eggs. She'll try to dig here and there but that's because she's just always been a digger. She "tunnels" under say, blankets to go to sleep. Other than that, she's not showing...
