My first beardie is a 3½ month old super citrus.

Yeah as babies they can really pound down the food if you offer it to them 2 to 3 times a day.

    Just wondering...

The turks are creepy and fast but the dubias are fat and slow. I love them and I despise crickets!

    Questions on a baby beardie

The accurite thermometers with probes are very cheap at walmart and if it turns out his basking spot isnt hot enough you can just get a regular household bulb for a basking light. I use a 100 watt household bulb with a cheap dimmer switch from home depot. The problem with stick on or dial...

    New beardy not eating?

I would try getting it in the 105-110 range. And sometimes they will not eat for a few days. That is normal. If they are in a tank I suggest using white paper to block off the sides and back. That helps babies feel safer, sometimes the aquarium backgrounds can be too busy and frighten them...

    Just wondering...

Sometimes when I feed my beardie turk roaches I lose one in there cause those suckers are fast. If I cant find them I just put a piece of veggie in a corner or somewhere so they leave my beardie alone until I find them lol

    Questions on a baby beardie

I cant see the images but you need to know what type of uvb you have. Pretty much the only good one on the market in the u.s. right now is the reptisun 10.0 tube. It needs to be within 6-8 inches of the basking spot and mounted inside the tank with no plastic in the way. You also need a...

Give away my beardie or not?

Do your inlaws like him? Would it be burdening them? I say if you like him and they like him and still want him then you have them keep him and maybe send them a little something every month like $20, Etc. If it will burden them then you can find a good home for him, you just need to...

My first beardie is a 3½ month old super citrus.

I dont know about anyone else but the price of lighting pales in comparison to how much you will spend on feeder insects. They can eat upwards of 60-100 feeders a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

    Midget Bearded Dragon?

Well Petco doesnt really get their herps from reputable breeders so I would assume their would be a difference between good breeding and bad breeding when it comes to size, but every beardie is different! He looks really healthy so I wouldnt really worry about it. When I was a lot younger I got...

beardie missed 1 day of feeding!

He will be fine. Even a baby can go a day without eating as long as they dont have any underlying health issues. Adults can go a few days without food and be just fine.

    Little dude bit me again

I would try the veggie idea. My first beardie acted the same way as a baby. What are your temps? Are you using a uvb?

My first beardie is a 3½ month old super citrus.

Without the UVB the oral supplements are almost useless. They cannot metabolize the calcium to prevent MBD without the correct lighting. Search MBD on this forum and you will see the consequences of improper lighting =[ The reptisun 10.0 is the best linear tube uvb light available in the u.s...
