I struggled with my beardie for years with getting her to eat salad. I got her used to hand feeding and treats which was entirely my fault. The only way I could get her to eat greens was by hand feeding her leaves, waving it close to her to get her attention. Some days she would go ahead and eat...
I actually have another two. Male and female. George and pip. Both 7 years old. I was told that Pip likely wouldn't survive, she was so unbelievably tiny at first compared to the rest of them but I took her home with me and hand fed her puree food until she was big enough to eat live foods...
Thank you everyone for your kind words. I miss her so much. I just keep crying in waves. I do something to be distracted but afterwards it pops into my head again that she is gone and I have such an empty feeling. Keep thinking I should have done more for her or noticed things sooner. 10 years...
My last post here was in early 2013 when I brought home my little Nessie at 9weeks old. Here we are over 10 years later and this week I made the decision to let her fall asleep forever as we discovered recently she had inoperable cancer. I'm heartbroken but this was the kindest thing I could do...
I just have to share these, Nessie is getting bigger and some of her daily poses just crack me up :D
I think she looks like she is standing at a bar waiting on her drinks order in this one haha
Getting bigger so we don't quite fit into the little cosy house
Happy basker
Having a lazy...
And it's begun, her tail just burst open today it came through lovely orange underneath.
She isn't a happy bunny, I feel so sorry for her
These must be the best sitting positions for shedding lol
Not happy
All tiled today, with real stone tiles so we won't be sliding about! I can now relax knowing that she isn't going to eat bits of woodchip  phew.
Her very first bath was in the sink, which she stood like a statue with the tail curled in the air lol so I thought this time I might try the bath to see if she would swim but the only swimming done was in an attempt to escape, so yes I think a smaller area for now is a good idea :)
So Nessie isn't a fan of bath time...hopefully in time lol
But there are always things in life we don't like  wee skitter spent most time trying to get out or sitting on top of the makeshift rock!
When I got the tank set up, it came with what you can see here, the woodchip. I'm changing it to tiles this week.
They don't slip or slide on the tiles though right? since Nessie likes to skydive from her log and then run to the glass a lot.
Her log
Aww he is so content looking!
When you take him out do people give you strange looks? Lol or even want to pet him?
I'd love to take Nessie out & about when she is older but I live in Northern Ireland and we don't get the greatest weather :?
