Update: Well Missy never laid a second clutch. Very grateful. She is gaining weight and looking good. She's a total salad pig and not picky at all. Her eggs never hatched, they obviously weren't fertile and around the 60 day mark started forming brown spots. They've been frozen and thrown away.

Egg update: So I kept the eggs. They are sitting on my dryer in the laundry room where the temperature is good enough, with good ventilation and a decent soak for humidity once a week. I'm probably exposing them a lot more than I should, but I don't have the money to buy or build an incubator...

Stumpy has gone to his new home, where he lives in a "kingdom" with his own custom built castle. SO impressed by this family and certain I made the right choice. They had crickets, superworms and phoenix worms coming in the day after I dropped him off, and a fridge full of appropriate veggies...

Exactly one week until Stumpy goes to his new home. I will be taking pictures of the new enclosure that is being built for him next Wednesday when I drop him off and will have them in the album in the original post by that night. Very excited to see it. The boys are renaming him "King Stumpy"...

Aw, love your terrarium. My rats have that same hide lol. I'm getting the same "big girl" enclosure for my River once she hits ten-twelve inches. She still looks small in her 20 gallon even though she's hitting the four month mark soon. Gotta love exo terra and those front opening doors!

Oh my gosh, I watched my little girl eat her veggies for the first time. I was hoping that she was eating them and they weren't just shriveling up, and today I caught her at it. As soon as she saw me looking, she zoomed up her driftwood and glared at me. Such a feisty little munchkin!

With the males, I'm pretty much giving them what a normal adult would eat, plus some extra protein. I don't think they're going to get fat, they're just gaining so much because the food is a lot for them.

So, update on the two males. Stumpy is doing the best, but he went much longer in his life with decent care from the original owner, before the brother took them on and nearly killed them, so he was in the "best" shape to begin with. He's got a nice round belly now and his double-chin look is...

So now it's possible that River is a hypo citrus tiger, because she's starting to develop striping on either side of her spine in that lavender-y colour. As I said, she's definitely hypo because she has the transluscent nails. :blob8:

Just wanted to let people know about Dr. Walton at the Dewdney Animal Clinic in Maple Ridge. To the best of my knowledge he's the only reptile vet in the greater vancouver area who also owns reptiles. He's the kindest vet, very well versed and has helped tremendously with the rescues I took in.
