    Triple Threat Rescue - Update!

Hey everyone Just wanted to update on the three beardies that I rescued last winter. Stumpy is doing amazingly well, his new family adores him. He loves to watch the two young boys play video games, sitting on the back of the couch. Missy found a home where she lives with another female dragon...

My Little River - Part 2

Original Thread locked on me: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=179138 So River is coming up on a year old next month. She has moved into a four foot long custom enclosure that I built from melamine and tiled the floor. My major concern with her is that she just isn't growing very fast. She's just over...

    Triple Threat Rescue

Update: Well Missy never laid a second clutch. Very grateful. She is gaining weight and looking good. She's a total salad pig and not picky at all. Her eggs never hatched, they obviously weren't fertile and around the 60 day mark started forming brown spots. They've been frozen and thrown away.

    Triple Threat Rescue

Egg update: So I kept the eggs. They are sitting on my dryer in the laundry room where the temperature is good enough, with good ventilation and a decent soak for humidity once a week. I'm probably exposing them a lot more than I should, but I don't have the money to buy or build an incubator...

    Triple Threat Rescue

Stumpy has gone to his new home, where he lives in a "kingdom" with his own custom built castle. SO impressed by this family and certain I made the right choice. They had crickets, superworms and phoenix worms coming in the day after I dropped him off, and a fridge full of appropriate veggies...

    Triple Threat Rescue

Exactly one week until Stumpy goes to his new home. I will be taking pictures of the new enclosure that is being built for him next Wednesday when I drop him off and will have them in the album in the original post by that night. Very excited to see it. The boys are renaming him "King Stumpy"...

    Triple Threat Rescue

So Missy appears to be gravid again. Her skin is darkening up like it did last time, big belly, skinny tail. I was prepared for this to happen but a big part of me is like "ug, not again" because she's still way too small. Hopefully she just does two clutches which sounds like it's about...

Stumpy has found a home! His new Daddy went and bought all the stuff he needed to build a good 4x2x2 this week and he'll be going to his new home on January 23rd.

    Timeless Spirit enclosure build

Started pricing to build a Timeless Spirit enclosure http://www.timelessspirit.com/enclosure.html Pretty excited! Going to alter it slightly, would like to try and avoid having the open spot for the door - I think my girl would sneak out lol. and I'm going to use melamine tape to cover up the...

My "My-my(s)" Myah found a home

Aw, love your terrarium. My rats have that same hide lol. I'm getting the same "big girl" enclosure for my River once she hits ten-twelve inches. She still looks small in her 20 gallon even though she's hitting the four month mark soon. Gotta love exo terra and those front opening doors!

    My little River

Oh my gosh, I watched my little girl eat her veggies for the first time. I was hoping that she was eating them and they weren't just shriveling up, and today I caught her at it. As soon as she saw me looking, she zoomed up her driftwood and glared at me. Such a feisty little munchkin!

    Triple Threat Rescue

With the males, I'm pretty much giving them what a normal adult would eat, plus some extra protein. I don't think they're going to get fat, they're just gaining so much because the food is a lot for them.

    Triple Threat Rescue

So, update on the two males. Stumpy is doing the best, but he went much longer in his life with decent care from the original owner, before the brother took them on and nearly killed them, so he was in the "best" shape to begin with. He's got a nice round belly now and his double-chin look is...

    My little River

So now it's possible that River is a hypo citrus tiger, because she's starting to develop striping on either side of her spine in that lavender-y colour. As I said, she's definitely hypo because she has the transluscent nails. :blob8:

    Triple Threat Rescue

Had some more crickets tonight that she munched down. She's not eating very much salad today, I think she knows that her body needs protein. Have been pondering all day about what to do with the eggs. Emailed around to some local breeders and only one got back to me, and then gave me the...

    Reptile Vet in British Columbia

Just wanted to let people know about Dr. Walton at the Dewdney Animal Clinic in Maple Ridge. To the best of my knowledge he's the only reptile vet in the greater vancouver area who also owns reptiles. He's the kindest vet, very well versed and has helped tremendously with the rescues I took in.
