Do Dubias need a day/night cycle?

The reason I said yes is because having a day/light cycle is more likely what they experience in the wild because Dubias arent cave roaches(obviously cave roaches will prefer 24/7 darkness). Although breeders do actually claim that they put their roaches in complete darkness. I was talking to...

    Dubia Roach Help

30$ thermostat + 20$ heatmat will be cheaper in the long run in terms of electricity bills.Especially when these will be run 24/7. A 60-100watt infrared bulb will cost 4-5 times more per year compared to 15-20watt heatmats

Any one ever tried cooked rice?

I get so much leftover cooked rice so I'm thinking of feeding them to my dubias. It's high in carbs and sugar(starch) and it's high in moisture.... so is there a reason why I shouldn't?

    Tiny bugs in Dubia Bin

It sounds like you have mites. I heard they can be very detrimental to your colony. Act fast because they will multiply fast and they are pretty hard to get rid off. You have 2 choices to get rid of them: 1. Buy Predatory Mites 2. Dry them out and starve them(they are in your bin for the...

best place to get crickets online??

Unless you counted them or you breed crickets( or any feeders for that matter), I highly doubt that they sent you only got 200 on your 500 order. Its really hard to tell by eyeballing so be sure of what you are claiming before u start flaming. Just a thought

What in the world is coming out of one of my dubias?!

Inverted ooth sac. She will likely die or if she lives she won't be able to bear babies. I suggest you just feed her off.

    Enclosure upgrade

What does the LED light do? I've never heard of those. I don't want it to shut off that's why I need a light dimmer to increase the heat. I used to get around 90-98 this summer but now It barely reaches 90. Now the thing is, there are time when the house heater doesn't turn on so it goes down...
