    I have a question about Poop -

So, Saffron hasn't been eating much lately, and been doing a ton of digging at stuff in her tank. She's about 6 months old. This was her poop this morning. The urate is normal, the 3 different bits of dark poo is not (it's usually one long bit), but the thing I'm most curious about is that...

Spike 2 dying... Same symptoms as #1

I hope we can get an update on Spike 3. I've read through everything and you've gotten some good, and some not so good, advice. Removing the water dish was probably the best thing you could have done. Absolutely go back to your original UVB bulb, and just find a way to hang it better. In my...

    Beardies Head Turned White?!??

Pictures would be helpful, but it sounds like a shed. Unlike my Leo, Beards do not necessarily shed their whole body at once, so you'll see this regularly where one leg, or all 4 legs, just the body sheds.

    Sneaky little beard..

I sure hope so! We're also having issues eating our greens. She only eats them if I with hold her roaches for a day. But, she's only 6 months old. Hopefully soon!

Saffron's thread! new pics on page 2

It took Saffron until about a month ago to really be able to be cuddly. And even now, it's a limited thing. We have to watch carefully if she starts moving to much because the next step is her taking a flying a leap off of you. :) They'll calm down eventually, no worries!

    Sneaky little beard..

I don't mind. I was just getting nervous since I hadn't seen any poo. It's better than her doing it on her basking spot and it baking onto it. :D She doesn't like baths and therefore doesn't poo in them, so I've resigned myself to cleaning her viv. :D

    Sneaky little beard..

has been kicking up the edge of her paper towel lining of her viv and poo'ing underneath it. Not sure if I should feel exasperated, or impressed.

Saffron's thread! new pics on page 2

New pics! She's growing nicely. Her growth has slowed a bit. We've been having issues finding feeders for her, but our Dubia colony is finally kicking off, so we should be good now! She's just over 13" and 127g

    Eating her first silks -

Thanks ladies!! Unfortunately the worms were mostly for my Leo that has decided she doesn't feel like eating anything but mealworms. Since silks are so much better nutritionally, I was hoping she would eat them - she won't. Oh well, saffron's gain!!!!!

    Eating her first silks -

Hehe, thanks! This is just a small number of the pictures I took. This was her 5th one. She ate the others so fast I couldn't get a picture!!! She managed to squirt Silk Worm guts all over my hand on the previous one. :puke: But it's worth it, lol.

    Dubia size question

Hi everyone - I have a question about the "width between your beardie's eyes" rule, as applied to Dubias. Is the size you're limiting the LENGTH of the dubia or the WIDTH? because I'm having a bit of an issue here - she's uninterested in crickets since we started on the Dubias. However, the...

Saffron's thread! new pics on page 2

Brand new pictures at a little over 11" and freshly shed just a couple days ago. Except her tail. Her tail seems to have been neglected in the explosion of skin I had to clean up.... Here she is cuddling...

    Picasso's new home!

I'm hoping I can get away with $100 or less (not counting any of the electrical stuff. Btw, where did you get that fixture for your tube light?), since i think I'll be doing plexi glass at first. Tempered glass is expensive... ><

    Picasso's new home!

Beautiful! I like how simple it is. I'm leaning towards hinged glass myself. I'm not so worried about the tracks getting dirty, since I want to put a 2" baseboard in front, but it just seems simpler to do hinged. At least to me. :dontknow:

    Lighting Help for Newbies (:

Wow. Talk about :study:. So, I'm looking into building my own viv to replace the 29g Long that Saffron is in now. I definitely want to make sure i have everything right. (on a side note, Thank what ever god(s) you believe in for this site!!!!). So, my plans are, plywood...

Need some Help with a enclosure i made..

If you have a standard screen top, you don't need vents, unless you keep it blocked off. The screen top allows enough air flow. Vents are needed when ppl build their own vivs because they usually have a wood top and therefore need to allow for ventilation. Question though, you said you are...
