    A miracle has happened

Thanks everyone, I'm happy he's healthy and doing well. He's not eating much as he's going through a pretty large shed. That's why his tail was discoloured when I found him.

    A miracle has happened

First, I've had Houdini since the age of 3 months, purchasing him July 2011. He's now close to 20 inches I would guess of average weight. I moved to a new place on July 7th and a day or so later he was exploring his new home when my puppy, Bella, a Long Haired Chihuahua got curious and wanted...

    Is this normal?

It is so cute to watch. I found when I don't watch him that's when he entertains himself. Give that a try.

    Is this normal?

I put Houdini in for a bath 2 or 3 times a week, however I noticed once he stopped fighting to get out he starts drinking and swimming around, especially when I'm not looking. I've also noticed that he puts his head under water when he swims around. Is this normal?

    Boss!

She's pretty chubby. I'd love to have a female in addition to my male. One day. They both look just like my guy. Are they called starburst? I'd love to know Houdini's breed.

    Getting very concerned

Houdini will be 11 months on the 15th and has been in and of brumation since November. He wakes up daily and climbs onto his hammock and does nothing else. Not that I can tell as I work all day but he does nothing but that on the weekends. He eats very little and can go a few days without eating...

That's great news. Congrats. Mine stayed as pupa for at least a few weeks. Score I seen any beetles. Good luck.

I couldn't agree more. I started months ago and am now only getting beetles.

Breeding Superworms - A work in progress

Hi Willis. From what I've read, there's part of a beardie's intestine that's curved and won't straighten out until they are at least 17" long. I wouldn't take the chance on severe impaction. My little guy's been in and out of burmation since November and has only been eating a few at a time...

Breeding Superworms - A work in progress

Thanks. :) Unfortunately, dubias are not allowed in Canada or I'd probably start breeding those.

Breeding Superworms - A work in progress

6 Thanks. Mine are dying before they are getting eaten unfortunately. Houdini is in and out of brumation since November so he's eating very few. Maybe 6 max and a tiny bit of greens when he's awake. He should have plenty when he comes out of it completely, hopefully soon.

    Seriously Exhausted Dragon

Awe, he's adorable. I had my baby out shopping for over 4 hrs one weekend and he crashed when he got home, so much so he went back into brumation.

    Fat Fat Bob

Wow, I thought he was puffed up. He's actually that chubby? He's so cute, how's his health? Is the vet concerned? I thought just the females had a tendancy to get fat. Guess I'm wrong. Still adorable though. So, short snout is a breed of beardie? My sister in law has 2 females and they both...

    IS anything wrong???

He could be going into brumation. Are his eyes open or closed? My guy can lay in the same spot all day without actually sleeping. He's been in and out of brumation since November so this is what your guy could be going through.
