I just noticed early today that one of the scales right under Phoenix's mouth looks strange. I tried lightly wiping it and nothing came off, but he also didn't mind so I don't think it hurts him. Is this just something stuck onto his chin that needs A bit more washing or should I see a vet?

change them every 6 months. ummm....well that depends on what fixture you have. if you dont even have that yet then i would say around 1/2 to all of it. the most important is covering the basking spot. they spend most of their time there and absorb more uvb when hot than when cold.
