    Help getting my basking temperature right.

    how do you know its much better? you cant get accurate surface temps with a probe. probes are for ambient temps.....my ambient temps are in the low 90s on my hot side, and my basking surface temps are about 125-130* .....why would you just guess at your temps instead of actually checking them...

    for the bugs - there is definitely some bugs that are not good for beardies. fireflys, lady bugs, milipiedes....all of which are native to me. i do my best to sift through all my soil as its being added to make sure and get all these little guys out....the lady bugs and fireflys im not worried...

    I would provide a hide on the hot side and the cool side... Hiding is a natural behavior and they will do it for security or privacy or any other reason... All dragons are different... My male never hides at all, my female will spend days at a time hiding
