bearded st 8-9 months showing signs of brimstone

Hi - Just wanted to share that my beardie was Jan/Feb hatchling - she brumated that same year in November - so she was 9/10 months. Looking back, it wasn’t her full blown very lengthy burmation that she has done every year since then, but she did go down for about a month and half. Like many...

    Watery poop no formation

To me it does look formed - when I zooming I do see the worms in it … The urates don’t look “wrong” or anything to me - urates can tend look differently shaped (well formed urates, not so well formed - both being okay) and urates can have way different consistencies / shapes depending on the...

PLEASEEE HELP!!!!! I think my baby beardie is dying!!!

Awwww that’s great that your dragon is drinking! It’s pretty awesome what some water can do, as oral hydration can often be overlooked for beardies. It’s so so important. The more you can get him used to accepting water this way on a regular basis, the more confident you can feel in knowing he...

    salad dressing

At just 4 months, I personally wouldn’t worry much about greens or stop any food sources. You can absolutely keep offering different greens/veggies to see if anything is appealing to him, but that protein and consistent feedings are so important right now while he’s growing. They will come...

    Is my bearded dragon fat?

Dubia roaches are also good feeder - you can get them online as well - places like dubiaroaches.com, reptilianarts.com, etc … I use Dubia, and I rotate out silk worms, horn worms, and super worms along side the main feeder (dubia). It’s nice to have a variety of things - these feeders all...

    Spirochetes infection...darn it!

Hi there 🙂👋 Just a quick thought regarding cleaning - what kind of flooring do you use in his enclosure? I feel like it effects so much, with all the different substrate options that are available - like how easy or complicated a full on disinfect deep clean can be, as well as how easy or...

    lighting schedule/timer

Hi! Just thought I’d share with you a different option than a timer in case you are interested - and what has made my dragons light cycles so easy to keep up with 🙂 I’ve always had trouble with actual timers for some reason, so I bought smart plugs from the company Kasa on Amazon. You...

Upgraded from 40 gallon to 120...Scooby is not happy!

Oh hey - just wanted to say real quick that I have a Kasa camera in my girls room too. It’s great. I also have the Kasa smart plugs for her basking and her UVB, so I can turn her lights on and off if I’m not home. Those are total lifesavers. Nice to have the camera and the lights all on one app!

    Not eating salads

Your dragon sounds a lot like mine - it’s as if I’m literally offending her very existence by simply wanting her to eat some greens now and then 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ When the mood strikes, she will happily take several pieces of hand fed collards (it’s the green she likes the best) - but its just that I...

    Hibernating questions

Hi 👋 I love this hide (it’s like halfway hide I guess - but that’s what I like about it) - if you’re looking for something that’s comfy and easy for them to get in/out of … She also has a square basket with a thicker fluffy blanket I put inside that’s turned on it’s side so she can go into and...

    stress marks wont go away

In my personal experience, the “stress marks” don’t mean stress every time if that makes sense? Sometimes perfectly unstressed happy dragons can still have that patterning on their underside. After your baby does settle in, and any obvious stressed out behavior subsides - he very well may...

    Post Brumation insanity

Mine usually does the same thing post brumation (after she gets past her couple of weeks of snapping back into the world) … she gets all wild child like your describing. She hasn’t acted that way after each and every years burmation - but most of them, if that’s any consolation. Not sure, but...

    Walking Weird Brumation

I agree regarding the walking - when my girl wake up from her long burmation a (up to 5 months sometimes) - things take some time to get back to normal. I always think how I might act or feel or walk after being asleep for that long, and it makes sense. My girl takes about a month to do a full...

Hi! I am also using a T8, and it sounds like your guy can get w/in a good range of it right now … and I think the most important thing with the T8 besides the correct distance/closeness is that the bulb has no barrier between it and the dragon (screen, glass, plastic, etc) 🙂 When I got my...
