Came home from college to find my beardie (Marcus) with a discoloured beard, usually bright orange, it is now black! What's wrong with him? He is just under a year old, I've heard this colouration may be due to him going into adolescence. Is this true? Do I need to adjust his feeding? Any advice...

I have just set up my vivarium for my bearded dragon which I am getting tomorrow :D Do I turn off the lights at night? If so, where will the heat source come from? Because the pack I got the cage with, didn't come with a heat rock/mat. Reply asap would be awesome as I want my home to be perfect...

So, everyone on here says heat rocks are bad? I had a leopard gecko and he was fine with a heat rock, the pet shop say the heat rock is okay and so did my vet... so what's wrong with them? It came with my exo terra vivarium, so why do they sell them if they aren't good for the lizards? Help...
