Came home from college to find my beardie (Marcus) with a discoloured beard, usually bright orange, it is now black! What's wrong with him? He is just under a year old, I've heard this colouration may be due to him going into adolescence. Is this true? Do I need to adjust his feeding? Any advice...

Oo I see, yes in that case I might do that because the Pets at Home hoppers only come with about 30 in each. How do you catch yours to put for your beardie? I sort of just let them hop in, is that okay? Only thing is, it takes quite a while for Marcus to feed.

I got my bearded dragon yesterday (Marcus) and he has had 2 feeds since then, the first he had about 8 hoppers, and the second, this morning, he had about 7... Is that enough? Should I feed him 3x per day? Also, the hoppers are very hard to catch so I let them just hop into his cage, so...

The basking light is a 'sun glow basking light' and I also have 2 x 30 W lights, I'm not sure because my Dad helped set up and he is better at all the lighting things. I am sure that they are suitable as I have done a lot of research into it as they are very expensive. What temp is that in Celsius?

The beardie I am getting is about 10 weeks old so still a young one :) So can I dust the food with both vitamins and calcium supplement? Thanks :D

What foods should I feed my bearded dragon everyday?

In the pack I got from Pets at Home (I'm from the UK) which came with the tank (44x18x18) basking light and the other necessary lights which I have checked are suitable. So if I have to turn off the lights at night, how will the tank be kept warm enough during the night without any other heat...

I have just set up my vivarium for my bearded dragon which I am getting tomorrow :D Do I turn off the lights at night? If so, where will the heat source come from? Because the pack I got the cage with, didn't come with a heat rock/mat. Reply asap would be awesome as I want my home to be perfect...

There is this stuff that they eat and it's like protein shavings (from pets at home) and usually like a few vegetables :)

Do I have to dust the meal worms/ crickets with the calcium stuff (I have two kinds that I know to alternate)? Or do I have to gut load them as well? If so, how do I gut load them?
