    2 questions

My guess would be this has something to do with shipping. There's specific ways live animals have to be shipped, and overnight is the only way you should ever ship an animal so feeding shouldn't be an issue.

what age to start "other" bugs/worms??

That's correct, meal worms have far too much chitin in their shell and little to no nutritional value. You can start feeding super worms at around 16" total length. Horn worms, silk worms, and black soldier fly larvae can all be fed from day one just make sure the feeder length isn't longer than...

Will this bulb be okay? (Plus petstore rant)

Compact bulbs tend to leak UVC and have an extremely high UVI. They are known to cause conjunctivitis, a severe eye infection. A week without a UVB lamp wont hurt your beardie and you're far better off without one than with a compact or coil type. Also your basking spot for a baby should be...

    bulk crickets help please

I use chick feed and damp paper towels, much cheaper. I've also heard of people using flake fish food, dry cat food, and lots of other cheaper alternatives for feeding crickets than commercial "cricket food".

    Brightness Coil vs Tube

Meal worms are very bad for a baby dragon, they contain far too much chitin and can cause an impaction. Even when feeding meal worms to an adult you shouldn't give more than a couple every now and then, they also have very little nutritional value. The brightness change in your UVB lighting...

    Free Range?

If you're talking about an outdoor enclosure with live plants in it that would be a great idea. One thing you will have to watch is what types of bugs get in the enclosure. I would suggest using aluminum screen around the enclosure to keep all bugs out if possible. And definitely include a...

    Mealworms ok?

As mentioned meal worms have very little nutritional value and far too much chitin in their shell making it difficult for smaller beardies to digest them properly and could cause an impaction. Super worms also shouldn't be fed until your dragon is around 16" in total length or longer and then...

    Tank Size

That would make around a 48"l x 20"w x 24"t enclosure which would be perfectly fine for an adult beardie.

    Question about stunted/small beardies...

Here's 2 links to US breeders for Rankins dragons, http://www.starsdragons.com/aboutavaildragons.htm http://www.reptmart.com/p-2644-rankins-dragons-for-sale.aspx Now I'm not vouching for them or how they keep their animals, I don't personally know. These are just 2 of the links I found on...

    Gorgeous Petstore Dragon

My local petstore, not a chain petstore, is really good about their reptiles as well. The guy that runs the reptile department in it actually breeds alot of the beardies they sell himself. They are few and far between but occasionally you will find a petstore that treats their animals right.

    waterfalls?

Unfortunately a waterfall would raise the humidity substantially or I would have one in at least one of my enclosures.

exo terra repti glo or zoo med reptisun?

As you can see the general consensus of this forum is for the Repti-Sun, I personally use the Repti-Glo bulbs in 4 enclosures and have very happy and healthy dragons. Either one should do you fine, but definitely get the 10.0. The 5.0 bulbs are for tropical species that spend most of their time...

Your opinion on Zoo Med and other Terrariums?

A waterfall will definitely raise the humidity too high. Bearded dragons don't necessarily need to drink, they get their water from live feeders, veggies, and absorb it through their skin and vent while bathing. Out of my 5 dragons only 2 actually drink and it's very rare to see it.

    cleaning eggs

You should never actually wash eggs, the temperature change even if only briefly could be fatal to the eggs. Like Tom said, just gently brush off any excess dirt.

    Set Up Question

Calcium sand is one of the worst substrates you can use, not because of impaction risks but because of the risk of respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. If you want to use sand get washed playsand, it's much cheaper(around $4 for a 50 lb. bag). I personally use playsand in 4 enclosures and...

    fluorescent controller?

Using 2 different bulbs is fine as long as the wattage difference isn't more than 10%. Some people use a full spectrum fluorescent to add additional light to their vivs without adding extra heat. The full spectrum will also help bring out their colors more.

    Sand

Washed play sand is what I use in all 4 of my enclosures, 50 lb. bag at Wal-Mart for $4. A full bag gives me around 3 1/2" in my 40 gal breeders. Any sand will cause impaction if enough is ingested. I highly recommend keeping an eye on your beardie closely for the first couple weeks to make...

    Bright Sun UV Desert 50W

The bulb I believe he is talking about is an MVB. If that's the case it is a UVB light, however MVBs are still kind of new and being tested and revamped to create better products. Your best bet would be a tube style fluorescent UVB bulb and a standard incandescent basking bulb. You don't need to...

    Just a question

You don't need to supplement D3 unless there is a known D3 deficiency and is then recommended by a vet. D3 toxicity can be very harmful even fatal to your dragons and without being able to do the required blood work to check D3 levels you could be poisoning your pet.

    How long can beardies breed?

That would also depend on how often they get bred. If you wait until they are full adults, around 1 1/2 to 2 years, and then alternate breeding every other year it wouldn't be too bad to go as far as 6 or 7 years old, but if you breed a female every year then I agree with Tom 4 maybe 5 years old...
