    DOES ANYONE KNOW? [lightbulbs]

Does anyone know what the differences are between using a regular (fluorescent/incandescent) bulb as opposed to a halogen bulb? Please let me know! :D

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

Nora is doing well and says hello to everyone. She still doesn't eat as much but the vet said that's probably because of the bandage. It's not uncommon. They also said that so far the way the arm is healing it doesn't look like they'll need to take off the rest of the arm so she will still have...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

Well the first time i went there they took out everything that was in her arm so I don't think it'd be swollen anymore, but she's had a bandage on so I can't see it. I guess it depends on how it looks when they take it off but as of now amputating the arm seems to be the best idea, but we will...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

Nora ate crickets today! She had about 5-7, some dusted with calcium, some dusted with vitamins. She was extremely feisty when I tried to give her the medicines so I'll have to try that a little later, but I guess it's call force feeding for a reason. She looks like she's doing a lot better. :D...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

She almost ate a worm tonight, but unfortunately decided not to. She let me feed her by hand a little more than she had been but wasn't in the best mood for her medication. I let her crawl around on me for a little bit and I think she enjoyed that, then she ate and went back. Her tail was perked...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

She's not eating, but I contacted the vet so everyday I'm giving her 2 medications and force-feeding her chicken baby food (VERY CAREFULLY). I'm still dangling crickets and worms in her cage and she generally seems to be more interested in them than the day before but she still won't eat them...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

I decided to go there anyway. The vet actually told me that it's still too early to tell if my dragon is definitely female since "she" is still so young. But it is most likely. $300 today for antibiotics, an anti-inflammatory/pain medication, a culture of the contents of the bubble and to cut...

Are there any phone numbers I can call?

This is horrible! If I didn't live so far I would come pick them up myself. I would report it to animal control or a local animal league. I'm sure a place that keeps pets in such condition would also have something else they could be called out on.

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

I got a package of sterilized syringes, betadine, neosporin, and fabric bandages that look like they could fit over the area if and when I do anything (if necessary). Will the neosporin be okay to use? I heard somewhere that it was okay for their skin. If so I didn't know if it would be harmful...

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

Thank you so far! I'm going to head over to a pharmacy to get the betadine today. Does the needle sound like a good idea if I soak her arm on that after and use an antibacterial cream? I'm worried it will get worse once I put her bad in the tank since it will no longer be a closed wound.

    ARM INFECTION! please help :(

My bearded dragon is about 4-6 months old. She lost an arm in a fight with a larger dragon in November/December which is when I took her home. Since then the arm has been well and she has been fine, learning to live without it. Recently, the "stub" has been getting larger and bubble-ish. I...

Very worried about my little guy

And if he's not eating the crickets try mealworms, wax worms or maybe even super-worms. There is also a special vegetable mix made for bearded dragons that mine cannot get enough of, and many vitamin supplements you can brush the food with to make it more appetizing. Maybe you should see if the...

Very worried about my little guy

A bearded dragon should get roughly 1 cricket per inch of their body, and should only be on calcium sand as an adult. As a baby they should be kept on reptile carpet. I agree that he just needs to get used to you being around and holding him again, the same thing happened with mine.
