    Not pooping during brumation...

To be honest from what I have read on here beardies have no regular rythm. I know they go more often when they are younger than as adults. I think brumation throws everything out of sync (just so that we can have something else to worry about). The important thing is that if it goes in it...

    Not pooping during brumation...

I would go with applesauce or olive oil. Best to make sure there is nothing left inside your beardie so that he doesnt wake up with parasites or some other nasty. I find either of those and a nice long warm bath does the trick. :D

    Our Rescued Beardie

Hi and congrats on your new rescue :) Recommended uvb is reptisun 10 (please dont get zilla or reptiglo). They are usually easier to find online but you might get lucky in the stores. If you cant get decent uvb, beardies can go a couple of days without uvb if you can get them out in the...

    He doesn't drink water

glad you are enjoying your new beardie :) Sometimes using a towel on the bottom of whatever you bathe them in can inspire a bit more confidence at bathtime. :)

    TOO much UV?

I am pretty sure all is ok. They are very good at regulating themselves and he would move to the cool end if he got uncomfortable. Are your temps hot enough? If he isnt going over to the cooler end at all it may be because his temps are a little too cool. If they are spot on then he is...

Francis not doing so well, seeking advice

Those measurements seem ok, i am pretty sure it wouldnt make a huge difference. See how she goes once she is clear of pinworms, i am sure that they are making her feel pretty grotty. Did your vet recommend giving her a probiotic as well? Any form of medication like that will wipe out heaps of...

    Beardies only want Silkworms!

Hmmm, maybe you could only offer silkworms on certain days - although they may just go on hunger strike on the days in between :( If you do struggle with feeding and things get desperate you can resort to babyfood - chicken and squash with a tiny bit of water - dripped onto your beardies snout...

    Dragon Poop

Lol, I think most of us on here has done that at some point or another. I find even when my lil one is healthy I am paranoid something will go wrong. I keep muttering to myself "breathe and enjoy, relax and enjoy" To be honest I am constantly amazed these critters survive babyhood!

    Help with eating.

You said you beardie had parasites when he went to the vets, did the vet treat them? I am sure if they were high and untreated or not treated properly then your beardie will be suffering now. I am guessing there is no blockage and the reason there is no poop going out is that there is no food...

    Beardies only want Silkworms!

Fussy little things aren't they :) I dont know the answer but am bumping this in case someone else will. My gut reaction is that it depends on the beardie, some are very stubborn. You could try only offering roaches for a while and see if they give in. (sorry not very helpful i know). Hope...

    Bearded Dragon Newbie Help!

Collard greens are spring greens to us UK residents Alfalfa is also known as lucerne or lucerne grass. I have used it to add to pony food and pet stores sell alfalfa for small animals, but I am not sure if it is suitable for beardies. Turnip greens are just turnip leaves. (Turnips being the...

    supers for a 9" beardie?

You are right, supers are not good for beardies under 16inches. Even if you cut them up the chitin is still too hard for them to digest easily until they are more fully grown. I am not sure about fresh shed worms though. I would be interested in others views on fresh shed supers cut in half...

How to keep grubs/larvae in the bowl?

An exo-terra worm dish comes with a lip that you fit on top that stops them climbing out. I use it when I want to leave supers in my beardies viv.

Francis not doing so well, seeking advice

Your setup looks pretty good. A couple of questions... 1. Can your beardie get within 6-8 inches of the uvb? 2. is the basking spot 12 inches away from your beardie? I am not qualified or experienced enough to set your mind at ease about everything else. But I hope that by bumping this...
