I would go with applesauce or olive oil. Best to make sure there is nothing left inside your beardie so that he doesnt wake up with parasites or some other nasty. I find either of those and a nice long warm bath does the trick. :D

You are right, supers are not good for beardies under 16inches. Even if you cut them up the chitin is still too hard for them to digest easily until they are more fully grown. I am not sure about fresh shed worms though. I would be interested in others views on fresh shed supers cut in half...

An exo-terra worm dish comes with a lip that you fit on top that stops them climbing out. I use it when I want to leave supers in my beardies viv.
