    Sudden loss of front legs

She's 13.5 inches long - not quite a year old. I made a slurry of banana and water & calcium powder (just a smidge) and she ate a bit of that. And thank you SO MUCH for the video! Extremely helpful! She's not using her left arm much at all - and still shaky with the right. Mostly she loves...

    Sudden loss of front legs

She's Pulled Herself Up! I put her back in the 10 gal tank so she'd be closer to the basking light as Tracie lovingly suggested. This morning she was just flat on the ground, cold at the other end of the tank. So - I picked her up, gave her some love as only beardie mommies can do, and...

    Sudden loss of front legs

Thank you - I'm keeping a watchful eye on her! You're gonna hate me - but I got it from the Orange County CA Craig's List. For $100. I'm going to a reptile show here in Las Vegas this weekend - I'll post next week what cool stuff I find, including viv dealers! :blob5:

    Sudden loss of front legs

First off - thank you for your post Tracie! Much appreciated. Just got back from the vet. There are NO signs that she was harmed by Dixie. I knew that, but it was nice to have validation. He said that the loss of movement in the FRONT arms was quite strange - normally if there's paralysis...

    Sudden loss of front legs

Thank you for your replies - I have had Crystal for less than a week. I believe she's fallen and hurt her front legs - I'm taking her to the vet today. Dixie is just fine - I've had her for nearly a year, dust her food with Fluker's Calcium with D daily and she gets vitamins on the weekends...

    Sudden loss of front legs

This is Crystal - our new beardie. We just moved to Las Vegas, and got her at a wonderful reptile store. She's been just fine, VERY active - then today I noticed that she's not using her front legs at all! I had her and her sister in a temporary home until ours came today - reptile astro turf...

Trixie & Dixie - Growin' Up!

Hey folks! I joined the board in September when Trixie and Dixie were just about 8 weeks old. They've grown quite a bit since then! Dixie, the smaller sister, is on top. She's starting to really show her GAWGEOUS green and rust colors! Thanks also to everyone here who helped me when I was a...

Kaida is losing scales on her leg...

I just adopted Kaida and her sister a few weeks ago. I recently noticed that she's losing scales on her leg...her sister is too. It's not infected, there's no crust or ooze - just like a person who as impetigo or something. The scales that are there are smooth and soft. I've never seen them...

    Beardie not liking Phoenix Worms?

I have 4 beardies now (yikes!) and have been trying to get my two smaller ones, Trixie and Dixie, to love Phoneix worms. Trixie won't have ANYTHING to do with them, yet Dixie will pounce on them. *sigh* And soaking them in water DOES help - they're more squirmy and get their attention better...

...and THIS is the thanks I get? SHEESH!

Honestly. I slave over a cool salad, chopping and dusting with love, and I even soak your reptiworms in water so they're plump and wiggle around more. And this - THIS is the thanks I get? .........this was too funny not to share. Hope you get a giggle!!

Opening Up a Can Of Worms - so to speak...

Thanks for the links to the care sheets - greatly appreciated! The only "Ewww" factor for the roaches is thinking of the ones found in houses. These types don't bother me. Now, tarantulas - THOSE bother me. *snerk*

How Do I Plug This Up?

Yes - I'm sure I can make them more fitted. I just wanted to get them in there so I could feed my girls without having 1/2 the crickets disappear behind the wall. So - for now it's working. If I can confirm that the foam won't hurt them, I think that's my best bet!

How Do I Plug This Up?

Hey Lance! I honestly DID think about that - but didn't know how it would affect my girls - and as I only have the one viv, they can't be out of it for too long...have you done it? Tips and tricks please if you have! :blob8: Ok. Here's what I did - it's a quick fix for now, but those little...
