Roaches don't bite, and yes, you can leave them in the viv overnight. They are lousy climbers, so I use a traditional chrome dog dish - put the bugs in there and they can't climb out. My beardie eats what he wants for dinner and then eats what's left over in the morning.

BTW, I was looking at that heating pad link to Amazon and one of the reviewers said hers spontaneously ignited and caught fire!! This does not make me feel better.... maybe a CHE???
