How did everyone's winter go? Beardies starting to wake up? The weather here in VA is warm some days and cold others. Elijah seems to be done with brumation though. He is glass dancing and eating and getting back to normal. Thank goodness, that was stressful to watch.

Lol! They are so funny!!! Elijah has never totally gone to sleep, he prefera to lay under his basking lamp and sleep on and off and not move much and turn his nose up at whatever I offer him! He will ONLY eat hornworms right now which sucka as I just got in more worms from Mulberry farms...

Congrats on your year with Misty Diane!! I just realized the other day that on Halloween it had been a year since Elijah arrive into my home and heart. It's amazing how fast the time goes. I'm glad your babies are still up for the most part. Elijah is the same too, he is awake most of the time...

Well I'm glad to hear everyone is still awake for the most part. Elijah has still been eating well too but the stinker has gone on a veggie strike :roll: I've offered him everything I could think of but he has turned up his nose even at baby food which I could always get him to eat! Oh well...

Hehe he was the stinker. We've been in and out of having warm weather so some days he has been up and others he shows no interest at all. I'll be interested to see what happens when it gets really cold all the time. Had Judas gone in to napping mode full time yet Diane?

So Elijah has been sleeping more and more. Some days he is up and other days he is down. Today I turned on his lights and he had kind of poked his head out and I thought may be he would be up today, well I thought wrong because I came back and he had moved his blanket in front of his door...

I know that there are lots of people on here that have toys for their beardies. I know that a few people but fuzzy stuffed animals in there for them to cuddle with. Elijah has a fleece blanket that he loves, they really are snuggle bugs. I also have a hammock, a cardboard box that is upsidown...

Poor thing dragonxxxx I think you had a short circuit. :wink: Sometimes Elijah is really grumpy in the mornings, especially since he is going into brumation now. So needless to say sometimes he isn't always happy to see me and I'll tell him "don't you puff that beard out at me young man!"

You should leave the light on all day during the day. Turning it off like that not only makes him cold but it can confuse their sleep/wake cycles. My beardie is awake while the lights are on and then when they are off and he starts to cool down he will get sleepy.
