There just wont be any way to properly mount them, at least no way easily that I can think of with that type of design. The lighting really wasnt all that expensive. Good luck!

I dont think those light fixtures would work. If its only going to be 16'' high, that wouldnt leave much room for the lizard to bask and not get too close to one of those fixtures. I use a outdoor flood light fixture. I also think this would cost more than 200$ unless you have some of this...

bearded dragons need more floor space that height, sadly that tank is not suited for a beardie at all. it may work for a baby for a short period of time, but you will quickly need to upgrade. it also doesnt look wide enough to fit the uvb bulb, which should be a reptisun tube or arcadia tube...

Allanonswrath is correct, I predrilled every screw hole so it wouldn't crack. The only thing I didn't predrill were the screws for the vents. I only have one lizard, so making a furniture piece wasn't as big of a deal as it would have been if I had multiple dragons :D
