Unfortunately the high was only 47 today and the low is 17. Yuck! We live in rural Colorado so right now it is COLD!! It will be over 100 in the summer and he will love the outdoors then! We will persevere and get through this! :)

I live quite a distance from the city and I got my setup from a woman who has successfully raised Beardies but she was new to the Zilla line. I have informed her of the problem and she is replacing my light with ReptiSun so I am pleased with that. She was devistated to find that Ladon wasn't...

Beardie shows stress in home - no stress out

Wow and wow! I live in semi-arid Colorado and have tons of rocks around that I could use. I will begin looking right away. I turned off his Zilla light after reading posts regarding their problems with Beardies eyes. I noticed that he was keeping his left eye closed almost all the time. I...

Beardie shows stress in home - no stress out

Thanks for the reply. I'll try changing out the light bulb. We live in a very old farmhouse where the temps aren't regulated throughout the house very well. Night temps can fall quite low where Ladon sleeps but I do supplement air temp heat and try to keep it above 60. I will try to not use...

Beardie shows stress in home - no stress out

My new Beardie turns black everytime I put him back in his viv. I am new to Beardies and spent all my money on a kit which utilizes Zilla products and alfalfa substrate. Unfortunately, I am finding out that everything is wrong with his viv. I tried fitting tiles but I would have to cut them...

Hello, I purchased a Beardie for my son for Christmas. My son, Donovan, is not unfamiliar with reptiles as he keeps some at his father's house. However, we are both new to Beardies. Since he is with me 50% of the time, care of our new Beardie falls to me much of the time. We got him on...
