Hi all, Charlie took a turn yesterday and we lost him last night. He was batteling two parasite infections and a bacterial infection in his mouth, and ultimately just had too much going on. I don't regret rescuing him at all and am glad I was able to give him a month or so of love and care...

I got a video of him wallowing around the sink with some water, but it won't load. :( Too big. I need to make a shorter video!

He pushed himself up all by himself tonight after he got rinsed off. We started the transition from the dropper to a spoon and it got a little messy, lol. He was a little lethargic yesterday but he’s pretty spry today. I had a hard time keeping hold of him!

I think the responsibility of neglect should equally be shared between the breeder, pet store and consumer. I believe that as an owner, I am responsible for educating myself on the animals I choose to acquire, regardless of the information the pet store supplies or the husbandry of the breeder...

Charlie lost one gram of weight between his post feeding weigh last night and his pre feeding weigh tonight, but sucked down enough slurry to achieve a grand weight of 93g tonight! He’s eating more eagerly.

I have been holding him up so that his nose doesn’t go fully into the water, but aspiration is also a concern of mine. :(

We just finished a whole 2mL of baby food mixed with repti care! Yay! I gave him a quick soak and he’s really wanting to drink a LOT of water and I’m a little concerned by that. Can that be a sign of organ failure? Do I let him drink his total fill or only let him have so much?

Also got a video of how he moves. He’s a lot more active today than he was yesterday.

I'm feeding him a slurry of veg baby food, with multi vitamins and calcium with D-3 mixed in right now, out of a dropper, so I think that should be sufficiant for water for the time being. I really hope I can get him to transition to eating on his own soon!

I'll make that adjustment tonight. It didn't even occure to me that he technically doesn't need the lid, as he's not really going far. I have him closed in a room by himself, so none of the docs or the cat can get anywhere near the cage. I'll stop by Walmart tonight and take a look for a scale...
